calybonos: I try to steer clear of organized religion, and I would never feel comfortable in labeling myself as a follower, but if I did, I would say that the closest term to describing me would be a Toltec.

quarks: calybones, have you read The Four Agreements? We study this in class for making best of self. This book is based on Toltec teachings. We only learn how making four agreements with self can make life less complicated. Not learn much about religion. Just learn about agreements. Class is much more therapeutic than spiritual.
If others not read this it is very easy way to self improvement. One just makes four agreements with self. Agree to do following each day.
Agreements are:
Always Do Your Personal best
Do Not Make Assumptions
Do Not Take Things Personally
Be Impeccable

Wave2: You're right Allen although I am a christian. We almost have the same beliefs. I believe God died on the cross to save our sins. Also that he rose from the dead after being dead for three days. I use the Boble as a source of almost "power" My favourite person in the Bible is definetaly Queen Esther!!

chronology: Alas deuce does not hold the views of Jesus as his fellow Gay Quentin Crisp did. Quentin called the Gospel stories 'the saddest hard luck stories I've ever read' . But Quentin was never tempted to become a believer in any religion, as Quentin said 'like Mr Lucifer I would rather rule in Hell than serve in Heaven' . Quentin had his future in Hell if he went there well planned out, none stop Gay orgies with as many men as possible. Well if Hell is for ever, then Quentin still has millions of lovers to entwine with.

Sage of Bryan: I may not be. I only said I consider myself one. I study my bible, KJV, and I try to treat my fellow man as I would like to be treated. I can't quote chap and verse, but I know my bible as well as any Christian. I believe in God and also believe the bible is His inspired word. I cannot prove these thing, but I believe them.

chronology: Well Bryan you sound a very commendable chap, am just curious why you only read the KJV of the Bible. What if Americans only read Government documents in Old English from 1776? Or Washington DC only spoke in Latin at Legal Hearings? The world moves on Bryan and most modern translations of the Bible are reliable enough.
The real problem people like you face is that sincere believers like you are rare birds indeed and there are positively crowds of deadbeat people with nothing better to do each day than ridicule you with fake religion.

Sage of Bryan
Sage of Bryan: True enough chron. I use the KJV bible because it is the oldest rendition of God's word. Even though it is written in the Kings English of sixteen-eleven, I feel it is the most reliable of all translations. If others get a better understanding from newer versions then good. When I read and/or study the bible, I have a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance and a Young's Analytical Concordance that I use hand-in-Hand to help me with the hard passages and words.

Zanjan: I met Jesus...no need to do any homework. We're friends.

Those with the true Christ Spirit do as He says. They keep the Covenant God made with man - that is, man must accept all of God's Messengers (His Prophets), denying none of Them.

Although I once had no religion, that Covenant was always at the core of my spiritual journey. Thus, when I learned about Baha'u'llah, I dutifully accepted Him. This was how God made me a Baha'i.

Sage of Bryan: mmickey... 1st post: You said that bbaha'i is not in perfect harmony with the Christian faith. It looks like you feel that it is somewhat in harmony just not perfect harmony. Well, take a look around you. Christian religions are not in perfect harmony with one another. If the bbaha'i religion is a peaceful one, searching for the essence of God, then I find no fault.

2nd post: You say it's not biblical. It appears that they love man, nature and all things of divine creation. Sounds biblical to me.When the disciples of Christ came to him and said that they had found others preaching in His name(Christ's) they forbid them. Jesus said forbid them not. He who is not against us is for our part.

3rd post: Need you say anything else...? Well I don't know.do you need to...? do you want to...? can you...?

I may sound like a bbaha'i myself. I'm not. I'm a Christian. but I find no fault with Zanjan's religion.
