Zanjan: Well, the Jews of today aren't the Jews of 3 or 2 thousand years ago. They're divided into secular and non-secular groups so we can't say all of them are disobeying God.

It's hard to say which of their religious denominations best reflects who they're supposed to be at this time but I'm favoring the middle (moderates).

These are the Jews who can shake hands with Christians without feeling inadequate or faithless. For a long time, they've been like a team because they've recognized they belong to the same spiritual family, each having the same purpose. This includes Jews who can shake hands with Muslims in the same fashion.

Of course, this means there are some Christians and Muslims who can do exactly the same thing. Those are the people I feel best represent their religious community and faith in action.

We all know that how a vehicle ages depends on the care it has been given; still, after 10 years, one piece after another doesn't work anymore. At 20 years old, it's either an antique or scrap metal. No matter how attached one is to their vehicle, it's a dangerous game to bide one's time with patchwork until it completely fails, just when you need it the most.

Which reminds me, I had visitors from out of province today - a friend of theirs told them to drop in to see me on their way through the area so, that was our first meeting. She and her husband were my age, both strong lovers of God.

The wife told me she was a recovering ex-Catholic after leaving 15 years ago. I've heard that term used a lot over the past couple decades, never from an ex-protestant though. Yet all denominations have the same Word of God.

Immediately, that brought to mind the following: : Mark 13: 14-15

"But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:

And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment."

Seems to me, that's what she did. I wonder if that's more important than the Sabbath.

Zanjan: The pronoun "she" is used both for a country (nation) and, for a religion of God. The latter would be applied back in that day (the Bible, being a book about spirit ) but is archaic in English, unless one is referring to boats and ships. Most regular folks don't know that. God's feminine quality is expressed in the "wife" God gave to Man.

Yes, the death of the *religion* of Christianity is inevitable but not its spirit, the Word of God, which continues on.

Zanjan: Thus, Jesus's bride was the church. On the return of Christ, He can't be re-wed to the old bride - He must take a new bride. As it was for the Jews, one would expect the Sabbath to be observed on a different Day. Undoubtedly, there would be protests from the humans but is not God the Lord of the Sabbath?

robertbatchelor: GOD never changes. The SABBATH was created in front of two humans. as witnesses. As long as this earth remains the SABBATH MUST REMAIN.
In the earth made new you still see the SABBATH.
SABBATH was not JEWISH. In heaven there is no SABBATH it is part of this earth .
There is no night in heaven.
Earth has night time and earyj retains SABBATH for eternity according to GOD.
Knowing GOD is a help.

I can list a number of words to aim the BIBLE in different directions.
Multi meaning words.
WITH. CANNOT. SPIRIT, WINE, MEAT, SOUL, THOU SHALT NOT,
These words and more taken out of context have lead humans far from TRUTH.

Zanjan: Some people are guided by different Holy Books - they aren't dependent on the Bible, though their Books have informed their perspective of it. When people stray from the truth, there's a lot more going on with them than a language problem.

Divine virtues are universal. If a man submits to God, then God, Himself, bestows knowledge on him - that is, beyond that which those who are chained to the letter possess.

Now it appears to me GOD wrote the BIBLE in code.

Zanjan: God called His people to Him, not from heaven but TO heaven. So, it's out of the world they stepped upon hearing His call.

This would have been impossible if there hadn't been any in the world who were already attracted to God. This is why preparation is important. If it weren't, then EVERYONE would have heard and responded to God.

The Bible doesn't hide truth from anyone. However, the Word of God has layers of meaning and these are comprehended only by the faithful, as many layers as befits their individual capacity. This is why we don't need to interpret for anyone. Inform, yes, but not interpret for others. One's grasp is entirely dependent on God's permission.

Zanjan: That's not surprising. You use your own style when writing but every Christian I know discusses their religion using scripted responses. That makes them appear as if they aren't thinking for themselves and understanding, just memorizing what someone else has said. I don't think they realize that.

They could overcome this if they'd admit when their scriptures agree with all other scriptures.
