Who Believes in the Devil? (Page 5) Zanjan: Satan is not a devil. Satan is base nature - if one rises above that, the low isn't IN you. You can't be both killer and non-killer, so to speak. deuce916: It's on the first page of this thread. You said "I believe in God. I'm aware of the devil in all of us but do not like it. My devil is in chains in the dungeon - that doesn't mean it can't yell at me." deuce916: That means you contradicted yourself on a very important subject. If you knew god as much as you say you do you would know the finite answer to the opening post. But you have given opposing answers to the question. I'm sorry Zanjan, but your answers are not truthful. But don't worry, it's because there is no god & you can't be expected to know these things. deuce916: So on one post you wrote there is a devil & another you wrote there is no devil. So if you're getting your information from god then he is deceiving you. Why would you believe in a god that deceives you. Anyway, your god is probably scared of admitting that it made the devil & sin considering that we realise that now. deuce916: Of course, the obvious answer is that there is no god or devil & you're making the answers up as you go. Zanjan: Deuce, when I said "all of us", I meant the human species. Obviously, you ignored that I immediately pointed out where mine was - not IN me. You seem very confused with the English language. I say what I mean and mean what I say, consistently. Why attempt to flip someone's words around? You're wasting your time and energy. Are you trying to get out of doing the dishes? "If you knew god as much as you say you do you would know .......... For someone who doesn't believe in God, how would you be in a position to know God and how He works? "So on one post you wrote there is a devil & another you wrote there is no devil" Since I'm consistent, one would think you'd wonder why your understanding keeps changing. Let's go back over this one last time: Satan is NOT the devil. Neither satan or the devil exist as entities. Please try to learn the meaning of an expression. Satan has been the personification of evil, the overlord of the underworld; I say the word describes one's lower nature. The devil has been the personification of temptation; I say IT represents one's demons; basically, it's nasty thought. When you've got that clearly burned into your memory and copy/pasted it into a document on your desktop, then we can talk more. (Edited by Zanjan) deuce916: Zanjan if you're very familiar with your god, tell me when judgement day is? cause that's what we want to know. Zanjan: Judgement day #1. Every day for each individual. Judgment day # 2. When a person meets their waterloo Judgement day #3. When the individual dies and passes into the next world Judgment day # 4. At the end of a dispensation of a religion of God Judgment day # 5. At the end of an age for humanity (simultaeously with #4) Call it. (Edited by Zanjan) deuce916: How did we get off track with the devil. Oh yeah, that's right, you contradicted yourself. | Religion Chat Room 18 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
