WiseCat_: I find it funny that people who don't believe in a Superior being.
uses the word Nature anywhere they cannot explain something.

Nature this and Nature that. please stop that.

You may as well say God.

WiseCat_: Since existence is a simulation (in my opinion)
There is no real size. No distance.
The rules apply to us since we are part of the simultion.
Dying is like exiting the simulation.
If people keep relying on there 5th senes and the normal thinking patterns it will be similar to a world of blind people who tries to understand how it feels to see by using there othere senes

I would take my chances with nature, however unforgiving. Nature adapts. Godly folk don't.

A company has a manager. An orchestra has a conductor. Every computer system has a manager.
And from some reasone people think the world runs by itself..

Nature is not an 'entity'. As for the descriptive words I used above, those are human words to describe nature. What we perceive as cruel and vicious as only nature at work. A male lion taking over a pride and killing the young cubs for the lionesses to come into oestrus, to us are 'cruel', however it is nature/instinct to bring only the new stronger males' progeny into the world.

Storms lash the earth and we think it is a 'vicious' storm. Natures' forces shape and unleashes the storm - it can be explained and imitated (on a smaller scale) in a laboratory. Physics and atmospheric flows determine the intensity, not thought.

Nature is not a god and I feel sorry for lost and lonely souls who are desperately looking for something to put their 'faith' in.

WiseCat_: Nature and god doesnt have dimentions. If nature is everything it proves my point. The scientists use the word nature to define somthing that observe everything and makes decissions.

So... isnt it the same?

Nature is nature, no thought processes go into storms, rain, sunny weather, etc. Nature is governed by the laws of physics. Apples fall down and not up, because of gravity.

How can nature be compared to a 'living, vindictive god'. I just can't see the reasoning behind it all. I have never heard nature being described as something capable of making decisions. Certainly not by scientists. Nature is neutral and predictable. The sun rises in the east, never in the west - predictable. Specific tides are predictable because of the influence of the moon. Tornadoes occur when certain factors come together, caused by up drafts and down drafts of air. Land slides happen when the soil is at a certain degree incline and saturated by rain. No thinking.

@powerplant - Nature is neither a supplement nor competitor to religion. People have created numerous gods as representing aspects of nature - Poseidon - sea and storms, Thor - thunder, etc.

@prophet - nature definitely has dimensions. It cannot operate outside physics laws. The physics laws have come later as our knowledge and scientific perceptions grew, but there are very rigid can's and can'ts.
