Zanjan: Prophecies are directed to different things and times.

Some of Prophecies Jesus made were directed to that current generation only – that is, for those who made it to a natural life span. Those were all fulfilled. Some prophecies were strictly about the Jews, some about Christians only.

There’s a range of times beyond the current generation – first, to the eventual, long term expulsion of the Jews to be dispersed all over the world; second, to the apex of glory of the Christian Faith; third, to the end of the Christian dispensation, which opens with the next dispensation. Those have all been fulfilled.

The longest range forecast doesn’t belong to Jesus alone but He supported it – His Return and return of the Jews plus permanent world peace. Many get these events mixed up with the only one that hasn’t been fulfilled yet – world peace. The Prophets never failed.

“anyone who claims to believe in Christ is a christian even if they are a Buddhist.”

False. One can believe in all the Prophets but they’ll still choose which religion they want to join. This is a fact because it’s been done. They know which religion and Book of laws they follow.

davejackson1960: standing here today is pretty self explanatory those regardless of faith that were standing in front of him at that time 2000 years ago, it says what it says it is not complicated, it is not the truth, nor does it require a doctrine of divinity to comprehend,

Zanjan: Most of my posts are edited because I write into the message box directly, on the fly....off the top of my head.

Occasionally, I partially write a response in a document because I don't have time to finish my thoughts as I have to leave...or my internet connection is going down. I finish later then copy paste into the box. Those rarely need editing because I've done it in the document.

Why is editing such a big deal to everybody? There's an edit button for a reason. If I use it, that shows I don't care to post like a sloppy buffoon who can't spell.

davejackson1960: the end of time has not come the second coming of Jesus has not happened it makes no difference which generation if any of them ended we all ended. I have heard all this redderick in bible school it made no sense then nor now just desperate attempts to justify something that is full of mistakes

Zanjan: Maybe you should use the edit button -> "rhetoric" .......insert punctuation and paragraph.

It's ok, I'll wait. I'm sure you want to be understood.

Zanjan: If anything I post is not written originally by me, I'll credit the author who wrote it. To my knowlwedge, no one has hacked my account, pretending to be me......as if anyone could successfully pretend to be me.

Otherwise, everything I type comes from my own mind, or is divinely inspired by my friends in the next world. Either way, Wireclub has the rights to it.

Zanjan: Now there's an interesting question - why should Wireclub own the legal rights to my stuff? Does that mean they can keep it in a secret vault and change my wording? Or could they sell it to National Geographic Magazine or something? Is that moral?

Ok, maybe its not good enough for National Geographic

Zanjan: We tend to teach our own generation best........that's not to say the young ones can't learn anything from their elders, they just won't learn it the same way their elders did.

These are historically UNIQUE times and conditions.

Young people no longer listen to their elders, partly because they have little contact with them. Elders no longer live with the family, where opportunities to talk and catch issues would be a daily occurrence for mutual benefit.

Elders are viewed as old fuddy duddies, who wear depends and can't figure out the remote control - what young person would be lured into imagining any of them are sharp as a tack and hep on modern problems and language?? What would you know if you're not in my crib?

My generation is too old now to make any drastic life moves unless forced. That doesn't mean I can't interest them in co-operation and help strengthen the faith they do have. Some of them aren't totally dead yet.

robertbatchelor: To understand being moral completely one must first know gOD.
But to this world being moral is is not exactly perfect without gOD .

Zanjan: What do you mean "emotionally involved"? Are you saying we can't shed tears when praying or hug people we adore?

robertbatchelor: Zanjan.
No sheding tears is not thee issue .
With some religions people get involved with what they think is the Holy Spirit.. Other religions they are involved to the beat in the music and loud singing.
Other religions they talk in unknown tounges. They are not intellectually involved with GOD or their church in anyway. Gpoing to church is just an emotional experience. Some it is just repeating simple things like PRAISE GOD to the point of being boring. Nothing intelligent at all is being said or done.
Huging people sincerely is okay too.

Zanjan: Ah, the word you're looking for then is "entertainment". Yes, God isn't a plaything - He's not there for our amusement; it's the other way around.

Most people seem go to church just for the social aspect and some for pretenses; but, a few go so they can walk out feeling 'cleansed'. I think the latter are getting more out of it, spiritually, if only through pomp and ceremony. One gets the feeling they're always trying to heal themselves, as if they were broken.

Of course, there's always a very small core group who are truly involved in the workings of their Faith and these keep it going. These are the individuals who understand the importance of being a servant to God.

Oops ... no ... perhaps I should qualify that. I would agree with you if I thought there was a God.
