More catholic skullduggery.. (Page 2)

scionschild
scionschild: Go figure...see what happens when men aren't allowed to marry or have mistresses (unlike early on in the Catholic Church)!!! It can only draw men to such behavior, sanctioned by those involved in same...this has been going on for years and, whenever found out, the Catholic Church only shuffled around it's leaders, none of which were prosecuted, protected by their Church!!! The same men who tell YOU to confess your sins to THEM! LMFAO!

To all of the members of the Catholic faith...I don't hold ill will against any of you but believe you have been grossly duped for quite some time now...open your eyes and take action!!!

john1576: It would be interesting to know if all these alleged s#x abuse cases actually involve the 'Roman Catholic Church'. Some years ago in England there was a man who called himself a Bishop of The Old Catholic Church. In fact there was no such church, he simply dressed as a Bishop and collected money from people to run his 'charity home'. The charity home was in reality a house where runaway youngsters were taken and given beds for the night. Most of the youngsters were raped by the Paedophile Bishop and his drunken friends. Again, the 'Old Catholic Church' has no connection at all with the 'Roman Catholic Church'.

The priests probably sit in the confessional booth and bash the bishop over some of the more sordid confessions.

♠_Krash_♠: There you go again john, another veiled attempt to protect the catholic *peodophile infested* church..

The pope is handing out more letters of sorrow and regret (most likeley written by the churches press secretary)than he is sermons nowadays..

As of 2009 over 4000 priest (and that's just the priest)are under investigation...

As iv'e stated before, the australian federal police and their german counterparts fear of a major peodophile ring operating within the catholic church...

Understatement of the year in my opinion!

john1576: Krash. Must be the T.V. companies trying to protect the Vatican not me, they made the Documentary about the guy. They actually filmed him before he was arrested. He was asked why he went about at night visiting derelict houses in London dressed as a priest, he said; 'well if a young boy or girl sees you walking up to them and you are dressed like everyone else they may get the wrong idea'. He was sent to prison for murder after a boy he raped and beat up died of his injuries. What seemed odd to me about that case is that he was never investigated despite raping a number of boys and girls. It was only when a dead body was found dumped at the side of the road that the police eventually arrested him.

satangel: Well, I'm sure of one thing: For people that have been sitting on the fence contemplating if they should become Catholics, most of them end up not filing for membership when they hear about this steadily growing number of abuse cases. And established members are leaving the Pope in hordes, too, which shows me that I was very right in doing the same thing some years ago.

Flac: Why try to cover it up and brush everything under the carpet to the bitter end?

I'm sure that the pope would have retaind the last bit of his credibility if he had publicised the results of his internal investigations and how he had punished the priests involved.

I don't care if the perpetrators get as they deserve, I'm more proccupied that the victims are heard and taken seriously.

The immature and dishonest way Bendict has handled this matter only shows that his church is really built on sand...

You have no right defending the catholic church until you know the facts

Lex Hardon
Lex Hardon: Ratzingers' thoughts on the sexual abuse issue (or the rape & torture of thousands of children), a quote

'from god comes the courage not to be intimidated by petty gossip'

ok, now just think about this for a moment....

how many children were sexually molested over the years, by catholic priests? how many times did Ratzinger shield these evil guys? protected them from the law and prosecution, moved them from parish to parish without warning parishoners. And this is petty?! The pope thinks this is petty!

Just another great example of how religion poisons everything. What religion does is, it enables and facilitates atrocities in this way.

When the pope says 'from god comes the courage not to be intimidated by petty gossip' what he is actually saying is, 'god allows arrogant evil men like me to claim that we are above ethical or moral standards of any kind'.....thats what religion allows. Religion isnt a moral compass for people. In actual fact, religion hands you a hammer in which to smash your moral compass with. This just prooves that with religion you can justify anything. If your cool with god then who cares what anyone else thinks?

-I don't have to make an effort to try to discredit the pope anymore, because he is much better at it by himself!

Most likely cos they were in the catholics pockets, how else could it have been covered up for so long and why else would you not string up everyone involved?

satangel: Latest:

My so-called "confident" source in the Vatican informes me that unofficially, some cardinals are so unhappy with pope Benedict XVI that they have put pressure on him to abdicate or face a threat of being sacked. They think that he has been a liability to Catholicism and handled many controversial issues in a way that has turned out to be harmful to the Church.

So, don't be shocked if you hear that he has been replaced!

FROZEN_in_time: I don't understand this constant connection between abuse and religion, since it happens everywhere, even in people's homes. But I agree that it is particularly grotesque when the abuser is "a man of God" that the victims trust completly, only to be taken advantage of.
