Trump and Zelensky

RoadTripDude: Just a few observations about the latest comments by both Zelensky and Trump.

1. Trump is wrong that Ukraine cannot be rebuilt. German and Japanese cities were razed during WW2 but were rebuilt and are more beautiful than ever. Yes, the cost would be overwhelming. Ukraine citizens may come back from abroad but in the interim if a peace were reached then rebuilding happens.

2. Zelensky should not be criticizing Republicans in that unless the Democrats get them to work with them on the aid bills, Ukraine aint' getting a dime. Dumb political move on his part to criticize VP candidate Vance. He may not like him, but Vance would be the head of the Senate if Trump wins. Good luck getting him to vote the tiebreaker on an aid package at that point.

So both men made comments that they should have thought twice on. We have seen cities in the past grow again. The Ukraine was devastated during WW2 and rose from the ashes. I worked on a game about the campaign to recapture Kiev in 1943. The city was damaged to a great extent by artillery and air strikes and ground combat yet rose again.

Its best for politicians to stay out of backing one candidate over another. If the one they dont want rises to power and they are part of the process of sending you aid, you look like a dummy!

We need less people like Donald Trump, who can't say a good thing about someone unless they back him and leaders like Zelensky should look back at Republicans that voted to send him aid in the past.

Now he won't have much political clout with the GOP lawmakers and that is not only going to hurt his prestige but also his starving population.
