Roe vs Wade Overturned Apokalupto: All it did was give the power back to the states like a democracy is supposed to be run. It is now up to individual states as to how they want to regulate abortion. laffer80: The Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v Wade bans precisely zero abortions. Instead, it affirmed Federalism as expressly constituted in the Tenth Amendment. The Tenth Amendment reads in its entirety: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” Abortion, not mentioned in the Constitution, is exactly the sort of issue that should always have stayed with the states. In short, the Supreme Court in the 1973 Roe v. Wade case did not have the power to make up a new “right” to abortion out of thin air. This Supreme Court has corrected that egregious abuse of power. This decision affirms that Supreme Court Justices are not “legislators in black robes”. laffer80: WHlSKY: “Strange that persons are fine with ‘states’ having power to choose but not the individual women themselves. That makes no logical sense.” So by this logic, it’s strange that persons are fine with ‘states’ having power to choose that a woman can’t kill her 2 year old but not the individual women themselves. Because the states have that power too. Lefty logic. Lol WHlSKY: Looks like my creepy ass stalker has showed up again. Let us speed up to the part where you usually spasm and rage quit. There is no logic in being fine with States deciding on abortion but being worked up on individual women deciding. Giving a State the rights that can simply be assigned to women themselves lacks common sense. To put simply: If a State decides to be proabortion you will suddenly become fine with that decision vs a woman being proabortion? Give the rights to the people to decide. laffer80: Hmmm. No word on the logic of States deciding a woman can’t kill a 2 year old. As expected. Just nonsense. Ah well. Par for the course. The people ARE deciding. They elect State governments. Anarchist. Lol WHlSKY: Are you mentally challenged, laffer80? Serious question, as abortion is nothing on “killing a 2 year old child”. WHlSKY: On the topic: If the majority of women are against having an abortion, then it’ll be a non issue. So let them decide. My wife made it clear to me that she will never have an abortion. It is something we discussed before. In Argentina she can have an abortion the choice is there but she has decided she doesn’t want it. We both agree on that. Women are not stupid, they can make choices for or against. How can someone fear women making individual decisions but be fine with a State making a decision for the masses. It is illogical. (Edited by WHlSKY) laffer80: WHlSKY: “abortion is nothing on “killing a 2 year old child”. Dodge. Lol. What a loser. I guess the State can’t criminalize murder according to the moron Whisky. 😂😂😂😂 Why do i even bother. Lol laffer80: Sadly for lefty idiots, the state government we elect pass laws that we the people follow. We can’t just ignore the laws we don’t like. To change a law we have to vote to change the government, not say we the people should be able to do whatever we want - like end a human life, born or unborn. Sorry you lefty killers. You don’t get to choose death. This is America. 😊👍🇺🇸 WHlSKY: If you can state abortion is the killing of a 2 year old child by a woman proceed. Abortion is legal in some states. Since you missed the point: Strange that persons are fine with ‘states’ having power to choose but not the individual women themselves. That makes no logical sense. laffer80: Whisky: “If you can state abortion is the killing of a 2 year old child by a woman proceed.” Lol. What a moron. Lol laffer80: States have the power to choose that a woman can’t kill her 2 year old child. That makes perfect sense to me. You disagree Whisky. Fine. Lol. You idiot. WHlSKY: What does a 2 year old child have to do with the topic abortion? Proceed to elaborate in your post below: laffer80: I can easily believe how idiotic you continue to be Whisky. 😂😂😂. I see it over and over. Now you want women to choose killing their 2 year olds. Lol WHlSKY: So no elaboration on what your statement on 2 year old children have to do with the abortion topic or anything I have stated. Noted. laffer80: Lol. Look how idiotic you are. You have no clue whatsoever 😂😂😂😂 Your objection is the state chooses not the woman is making a choice as if woman can choose whatever they want despite state laws. The state has no power over women. Guess what. The state HAS THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE NOT THE WOMAN ON ALL SORTS OF THINGS. 😂😂😂. So much for saying it’s illogical for the state choosing not the woman. Does the state choose a woman can’t kill her 2 year old baby? Yes. It’s logical that they do so. Just like abortion. You’re too dense to get it. Lol. Fine. You moron. 😝 laffer80: The state has every right to make laws that affect women. Saying otherwise is just idiotic. laffer80: The state has a right to make it against the law to kill a 2 year old and to abort a baby. Period. Nothing illogical about either. Only an idiotic moron would disagree. WHlSKY: Calm yourself down and take control of your emotions as I'm seeing you are blabbering with several ranting posts back to back. ________ The entire point is: It is illogical for someone to be fine with States choosing on abortion, while at the same time be in opposition of women making that same decision themselves. Why does this lack logic: a) Fact: There are States which have abortion as legal and States that have it as illegal. b) Application: Suddenly someone who is against abortion is fine with California, for example, being pro-abortion? All because it is a State. But that same person will be against Ms. Caroline from being pro-abortion? All because she is a woman. c) Conclusion: Having it open for women to decide means those who are anti-abortion will not choose it and those who are pro-abortion may decide to utilise it. _________ Summary: Having abortion open across the board has the exact outcome, but on an individual scale, not a State scale. Where individual women make the same decisions on being pro/anti. | Politics Chat Room 29 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
