freedomfirst1797: And Russian men have been banned from leaving their CITIES.... but they leave anyway, because they don't want to die for Putin's dream of rebuilding Imperial Russia.

My above comment was concerning Ukrainian men.

I don't personally know anyone in Russia so I can't comment on what is banned or not banned concerning their men, except what I see or read in the media.

The13th: See Freedom, I am too lazy to even want to response to this despite you mentioning young Russia run away avoiding war several times. In almost any country, young people always want to run away from war. Nothing unusual. How many American conscripts actually love to serve in Vietnam? Didnt President Clinton run away from the draft?

Being young make them unable to see the importance of things that is important. So they run away. But one day they grow to see the importance of things, then they will be back defending their homeland.

freedomfirst1797: Look... I get the fact that you love Putin and Russia, but you cannot ignore the cold hard fact that Russia has a serious problem when over a million young men aged 20-30 years old have either fled the nation or been killed or crippled due to Putin's war of aggression.

We never had anything near that number lost during 20 years in Vietnam, and Putin has accomplished greater loses in less than one year in Ukraine. And the USA had a much higher population 60 years ago than Russia has today.

Just between 2021 and 2022... BEFORE the Ukraine War, Russia lost 700,000 people due to declining birthrates. And after Feb 2022 they have lost another 1,000,000 more. This matters to their economy, even if you choose to laugh it off.

You can ignore the facts all you want, but Russia is losing the people they need the most. Now that western corporations have pulled out of Russia, the Russian companies have a domestic monopoly. Yet some are cutting back production due to lack of skilled labor. Too many of their workers have been conscripted, killed or fled Russia. The people who Russia needs most, are dwindling in numbers. And the rumored next mobilization will only make matters worse.

This really isn't a matter of opinion.

Russia has a serious population problem, and this might be why Putin keeps annexing more territory. He needs more people to sustain the nation, and by adding Ukrainians and calling them Russians it can offset their population loses.

freedomfirst1797: Keep ignoring the problem. See what happens.

Incidentally, your idol Putin is aware of the problem. He has had programs in place to encourage and incentivize having more children for the past twenty years. And he wiped out all the gains he made in the first month of his failed invasion of Ukraine.

Russia needs more young men, and sending them to certain death on battlefields, or forcing them to go abroad, isn't a good way to solve that problem.

The13th: Freedom, you keep forgetting that it is the US that orchestrated this war, then continue to support and sustain it, not wanting it to end, with the primary goal to destroy Russia, and an equally important goal to destroy Ukraine. It will be equally good for the United States if Europe get drag into it and destroy some or all of Europe as well.

You guys should be cheering.

Look at your neighborhood, you see men like that? You would wish you have neighbour like Putin.

KeithJ: In September 2007, Putin visited Indonesia and in doing so became the first Russian leader to visit the country in more than 50 years. In the same month, Putin also attended the APEC meeting held in Sydney, Australia, where he met with Prime Minister John Howard, and signed a uranium trade deal for Australia to sell uranium to Russia. This was the first visit by a Russian president to Australia. Putin again visited Australia for 2014 G20 Brisbane summit. The Abbott Government denounced Putin's use of military force in Ukraine in 2014 as "bullying" and "utterly unacceptable".

Amid calls to ban Putin from attending the 2014 G20 Summit, Prime Minister Tony Abbott said he would "shirtfront" (challenge) the Russian leader over the shooting down of MH17 by Russian backed rebels, which had killed 38 Australians.[489] Putin denied responsibility for the killings. South Pacific Nations condemned Putin's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the invasion was "unprovoked, unjust and illegal" and labeled Putin a "thug".

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern denounced Putin as a "bully". Fijian Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama tweeted "Fiji and our fellow Pacific Island Countries have united as nations of peace-loving people to condemn the conflict in Ukraine", while the Solomon Islands called Putin's war a "violation of the rule of law".

The13th: President Biden gave 30 billions USD to promote war in Ukraine.

President Biden announced 100 millions i.e. a tiny 0.1 billion USD for Turkey earthquake disaster, which is a lot more destructive than Ukraine war.

See Turkey, you want more money, you got to start a war now. Fight the Russian, you get more money.

The13th: Hey guys did you see England has an influx of less fortunate people from Ukraine and Hong Kong? Last year alone these 2 places add 500,000 population to those English isles.

See I got this idea, why not just let them all join United States:

51st state: Ukraine
52nd state: Old England (as oppose to New England)
53rd state: Hong Kong
54th state: Poland (might as well)
55th state: Australia Canberra (just Canberra, the rest of the country dont drink Starbuck)
56th state: Singapore? Might as well.
57th state: Japan?
58th state: ?

Welshboi22: I heard that before there was even any war, Ukraine had agreed terms with Russia that if they agree not to join NATO and let Crimea stay under Russian terroriy then Russia would not invade and everyone was happy.......

But apparently after talks with Biden on the whole situation, U kraine suddenly decide to pull out of the agreement and go to war .

Seems like the US are pulling some of the strings of the Ukraine which is not always going to mean that the best decisions are made for the Ukrainian people,

And Putin has a point, what would America do if suddenly Canada and Mexicao become communist countries......
Exactly what Russia is doing now that's what they would do.

Time and time again we see America interfering in other nations affairs,.

freedomfirst1797: Welsh.... I have also heard rumors of an "unwritten agreement" but that just isn't how countries operate. They put things in writing. And sign treaties.

Who could possibly have a motive to start a rumor about an "oral agreement" that was violated and FORCED Russia to invade Ukraine and slaughter thousands of women and children?
