The giant midget: Doesn't Russia have a big army presence in Moldova?
I remember reading somewhere back in the 90's that there was still troops there even after they gained independence from the Soviet Union

Bytr: Has anybody else seen the video on how bad journalism is handled in other countries? This is the kind of stuff I'm talking about.

This video posted 2 hours ago.

Came to find out this guest speaker is a senior editor at USA today.
I'm just curious what you would have to say about the unreliable media flood Americans have been enduring for three plus years.

Zanjan: Regardless of how much garbage news is out there, people have always had a variety of trusted sources, able to cross check them to get the true picture. Where there's a will, there's a way.

In Iran and a few other dictatorships, during the heat of censure and the regime's attacks on its own countrymen, those citizens went underground and had their own Wi-fi. Even during WW2, the resistance could generate their own electricity and had short-wave radio - then, as now, always there in disaster.

There were and still are other people ways to get accurate news in and out, as it was for Korea and Vietnam. I wouldn't worry about that. Humans are incredibly resourceful.

Zanjan: The most notable remarks we can make about this particular war:

From the outset, Russia's only traditional ally, China, took a neutral stand. When your best friend in the world no longer has your back, that's gotta hurt.

When Putin threatened to use nuclear forces and had his army bomb a Ukrainian nuclear power station, China stepped up and showed its deep concern. Why wouldn't it? They're down wind from the radioactive fallout.

Everyone knows Russia is ignoring the rules of engagement, deliberately bombing private residences. How brave are the soldiers who make their battlefield a fight against unarmed civilians and children in their beds?
Worse, to attack them with weapons banned by International law. Cluster bombs are intended to inflict as much enduring pain as possible before the stricken die.

The International stage has transitioned from the term "New World Order" for our times - the current label is the "Rules-based Order". Realization has dawned and acceptance is complete. Therefore, legal motions have begun: Russia will be tried in International Court at the Hague for war crimes. There's no turning back.

Switzerland, traditionally a neutral country, isn't neutral anymore.

The giant midget: Zanjan,I will agree somewhat with you on your China stance with being natural on Russia.
China staying afar of Putin.
They have their reasons ,they are learning from Putin mistakes and how The world will react in the very ,very near future against China

The bombing of the nuclear plant administration and at times training facility was a strategic target a few hundred yards away was the reactors.no harm
Any loss of lives in conflict are casualties of war, what / how was used to eliminate those victims is irrelevant .

The winter Olympic Games are coming to a end in China .
China will invade Taiwan afterwards and the world will not blink.
There will be a lot of hot air from world leaders and diplomatic communities condemning Beijing violations on human rights on and on but nothing with be inforced upon the Chinese Communist party.
No sanctions
Hopefully China will not stop in Taiwan,it should march on to Vietnam,Mongolia and to shores of the Atlantic Ocean , with the help of Russia support with oil
No sanctions will be placed on China the country that all leaders of the world hug and greet its leaders with high regards and honour

Does anyone know how many sons and daughters of American Senators and Congressmen are on Ukrainian Energy Boards???

Zanjan: Midget, I think if China wanted to invade a country, they'd have done it by now. They have the means. Their leader isn't stupid; he's actually quite level-headed and knows his people.

Personally, I don't hold to a dismal view. In my mind's eye, we're all navigating through unprecedented changes at the very core of society. We're all being dragged in one direction - forward into maturity. No one can stop that momentum; we've come too far to turn back.

The giant midget: I sure hope you are all right about China moving onto Taiwan
.time will tell..
China and Taiwan will be the same situation as Russia and Crimea the world will watch and nothing done , in fact when Russia occupied,Crimea there were yapping from some world leaders to impose sanctions against Russia, human rights violations and some other bullshiit nothing came to it,just yapping and afterwards they all agreed to buy oil off Putin.every international leader were kissing and hugging Putins ass way back in 2010
What a joke .

China eyes Taiwan
North Korea eyes South Korea
Iran eyes the Middle East

The giant midget: Most of the United States' nuclear weapons were designed to last around 20 to 25 years. Despite the half life time of Uranium, it still erodes and ages. It, along with the other components in nuclear weapons, have to be inspected to ensure the lifespan of the weapon.
