Critical Race Theory (Page 4) WHlSKY: The definition I posted was Critical Race Theory, just threw in a few words as ‘dems’ and ‘democratic’ to make it more palatable to you. So what you really want is not to do away with CRT, but to have more included in it. I have never done CRT so I do not know what is taught within it outside of what I’ve read on it. I take it too that’s the same for everyone else participating here atm. There are many who choose to cause hysteria on the matter and will try to turn it one way or the other. lori100: when they tell a little kid he is an oppressor , yes, parents tend to get a little upset....shocking WHlSKY: Please show a video or direct evidence of a kid being told he is an oppressor. Make that your next post will save time. And no he-said, she-said. Motati: lori100 talking about blacks attacking asians, I wonder if you saw on the tv how chinese police officers and civilians attacked african people in shanghai claiming that they are the ones who brought covid to china. Some of the behaviour you will expect from the ill-informed and uncouth societies. I don't see how that can be classified as racism. (Edited by Motati) WHlSKY: No word yet on the kid who was told he’s an oppressor, Lori? I’m starting to wonder how much of this outrage is based on actual events. Help me out there. lori100: havent found it yet, but ^^^ that teen tells how he was made to feel and restricted in what he could say WHlSKY: By the way, there’s no denying that there are persons who oppose Critical Race Theory, as there are also those who press for it. Therefore agreement/disagreement on Critical Race Theory isn’t really a point. You were the only one who stepped forward and stated your solution which I’ll give you props for. WHlSKY: In the US similar was done to Chinese people but noteworthy is that it was done to asian-looking persons who were not necessarily from China. I think there should be some form of educational method for older teens and adults on racism that isn’t overpowered by a political side. More on acceptance of differences too. WHlSKY: Both already exist. As we move forward things become clearer to us and the past has taken its toll. In reading what some have said in expressing themselves it appears that not only the present day discrimination is the issue but also the lack of closure from the past’s injustices. However, I’m unsure how closure of the past can be achieved.
