US Democrats and leftwing parties around the world have failed to come up with a compelling narrative to counter the lies and distortions of extremists.

solittle: Left and right is all a Punch and Judy puppet show. The intention of this game is to keep us all forever squabbling amongst each other. People get sucked into this game the same way and with the same mentality that they get sucked into the rivalries of competing sports teams.

And while we are kept distracted by this left vs. right game, we are all being ripped off by the puppet masters. As Bill Hicks said 30 years ago, the puppet on the left and the puppet on the right are both held up by the same guy.
