davidlyncr: Democrats’ Policies Are Unfit For The Presidency
Joy Pullmann -
July 31, 2020
In 2016, the news-minding public endured an endless chant branding Donald Trump’s character and personality as “unfit” for office.
It was a slogan deployed against him by no less than President Obama and Hillary Clinton. Clinton debuted it in a major campaign speech echoed in a campaign ad featuring conservative writer Charles Krauthammer. In her speech, Clinton called Trump “tempermentally unfit to hold an office that requires knowledge, stability, and immense responsibility. This is not someone who should ever have the nuclear codes.” Obama said, “the Republican nominee is unfit to serve as president.”
People who called Trump “unfit” for office in 2016 include Joe Biden; 2008 and 2012 Republican presidential nominees John McCain and Mitt Romney, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, USA Today’s editorial board in its first presidential endorsement ever, later presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg, Sen. Rand Paul; RedState editor and “lifelong Republican” Leon Wolf, author of the debunked “Fire and Fury” novel Michael Wolff, TV personality Omarosa, 2020 presidential candidate Rep. John Delaney, Republican former Sen. Gordon Humphrey, and the United Kingdom’s now-Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
It didn’t end when Trump took office, of course. This week, Trump’s niece Mary Trump has a new tell-all book just like all the others, also insisting he’s “unfit.” In the intervening time, we’ve heard the same buzzword from the FBI director Trump fired, Jim Comey; the national security advisor Trump fired, John Bolton; writer Andrew Sullivan; New Hampshire Sen. Maggie Hassan; and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Clearly, Democrats have been trying to cement in voters’ foreheads the idea that Trump’s personality is unfit for office. Perhaps that’s because Democrats’ policies never have been as unfit for the office as they are now.
Just this week, in his first semi-public appearance in months, presidential Potemkin village candidate Joe Biden promised to be the farthest-left president in American history.
Reminder: Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders are two sides of the same socialist coin.

That’s quite a claim, if you know any history. Together, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson slow-motion wrecked the United States’ institutions, replacing a society of individual accountability and responsibility with a society of buck-passing generational theft and an anti-American shadow Constitution. Even if your history knowledge only goes back four years, Obama’s presidency:
saw the feds take over of a third of the economy through Obamacare and corporate bailouts;
accelerated national financial collapse through unprecedented increases in taxpayer debts;
further nationalized public education through an illegally imposed Common Core;
misused federal power to surveil, harass, and subvert the opposing political party;
appointed two far-left wack jobs of Supreme Court justices;
sent guns to violent Mexican cartels that were used to murder Americans, then lied about it;
effectively amnestyed 660,000 illegally present foreign citizens, forcing U.S. citizens to pay for benefits to them such as public education and health care;
cut off perfectly legal companies from access to banking because of their politics;
weaponized the Internal Revenue Service to harass grassroots political opponents and silence their speech;
tried to force nuns to pay for abortifacients;
forced public schools to put boys in little girls’ locker rooms and bathrooms;
fomented campus kangaroo courts that punished anyone accused of sexual assault without a remotely fair trial;
attempted to force medical providers to treat men as women and vice versa;
nationalized the student loan industry and inflated the student debt bubble;
used the National Security Agency to mass surveil innocent Americans and collect private email, phone, and other records;
bailed out with taxpayer cash a terrorist regime that brutalizes its people (Iran);
endorsed race riots in Ferguson, Missouri; and
executed 783 scandals. Plus:

What could possibly be more extreme, especially since Biden was supposed to be running on “a return to normalcy” instead of extremism?
Well, to get a taste, let’s sample a bit of the recently released Biden-Bernie Sanders (socialist-Vt.) “unity task force recommendations” for Biden’s potential presidency. Now, let’s be clear: Biden’s campaign has explicitly signed on to this document. These are policies he has — or his minders have — put his name on.
Cutting Americans Off from Energy: The 110-page document opens claiming that “climate change is a global emergency.” Right now we are enduring what is claimed to be another global emergency, also claimed to have justified forcibly shutting down social activity, destroying the life’s work of millions of Americans who have built careers, businesses, and nonprofits, putting nearly a fifth of employed Americans out of work, and destabilizing the next generation’s future with anti-science school lockdowns.
Democrats repeatedly say, including in this document, that climate change is a global emergency. It is not at all far-fetched to think they would be willing to repeat coronavirus ruination, on even worse terms. “We agree with scientists and public health experts that the United States — and the world — must achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible, and no later than 2050,” the document says.
The only way to do this using solar and wind power, as Democrats demand in the document, is to make the United States a low-energy economy. That’s an impoverished economy, a Third World economy. Ventilators cannot run on wind power, to say nothing of grocery stores, hospitals, and homes. Turning the United States into a Third World country is not a policy worthy of the United States presidency. It is unfit for office.
That’s just sample item one.
Institutional Racism: “We support re-issuing federal guidance from the Department of Education and Department of Justice to prevent the disparate disciplinary treatment of chilren of color in school and educational settings,” the unity document says.
This is referring to Obama administration rules that required public schools to discipline children according not to their actions but their skin color. This policy also made schools much more violent, impeding the learning of predominantly nonwhite children. This is a racist policy, and racism is unfit for the presidency.
In the document, Democrats pledge to also apply racial tests to judges, economic policies, criminal law and policing, and recipients of federal grants, among others. “Our courts should reflect our country,” it says, using the well-known slogans of today’s advocates for race quotas “…We will nominate and confirm federal judges who have diverse backgrounds and experiences.”
Democrats threaten: “Federal contractors should be required to deveop and disclose plans to recruit and promote people of color, women, people with disabilities, and veterans — and be held accounable for delivering.” They also pledge to increase taxpayer support for grants that are exclusively available to Americans based on their skin color. Again, racism, as we have heard from Democrats time and time again, disqualifies its practitioners from governance.
Treason Against the Constitution: The race prism is later mixed with promises of socialized medicine and housing as part of a “new social and economic contract with the American people.”
This is a direct violation of the president’s Oath of Office, which requires him (or her) to swear fidelity to the Constitution: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” This is the charge of the presidency, its raison d’etre.
The Constitution a president pledges to serve prescribes a government of strict limits, not the unlimited power to take what a person has earned and give it to other people for any desire under the sun. One of the natural rights the Constitution is supposed to secure is to one’s own property.
That’s because what a person owns represents his life — his time and labor. It can never be truly paid back after it is taken, because to take a person’s property is to steal hours, days, weeks, years of his life that he will never get back. It is to enslave him.
Democrats’ entire plan for governance is a plan to abuse American citizens’ natural rights to life, liberty, and property. For health care or education or housing or any other material good to be a “right” requires that other people be forced into labor to supply such goods. It is to proclaim a right to other people’s work, which is to say their lives.
A right to control other people’s lives is no right at all. It is an abuse of power. It is tyranny. Pledges to accelerate tyranny, which equal treason against the Constitution, utterly disqualify a person and party from United States government.
davidlyncr: Is This a Scene From Nazi Germany? No, It’s the Portland ‘Peaceful Protesters’ Burning Bibles
On the 63rd night of riots in Portland, antifa rioters set a bonfire in front of the federal courthouse. Since they care so much about the death of George Floyd, they decided to burn Bibles. Seriously, they threw copies of the Bible on the fire.
According to Portland Police, hundreds of people gathered in front of the Justice Center to give speeches. At about 10:30 p.m., the speeches ended and people congregated in front of the federal courthouse. “Some lit fires, climbed the fence outside the federal courthouse, threw objects and chanted.” At about 1:30 a.m., rioters started a bonfire in front of the courthouse.
It appears that they burned the Bibles early on in the bonfire.
The video of burning Bibles traces back to RT, an outlet funded in whole or in part by the Russian government. Even so, the 4-hour 45-minute video clearly shows the protest in Portland from an eyewitness perspective. RT is not a reliable source, but that does not invalidate an RT reporter’s in-person video of an event.
It remains unclear exactly why the antifa rioters decided to burn the Bibles, but it seems rather ironic for a “peaceful protest” supposedly in honor of George Floyd, a man who helped spread the gospel in Houston, Texas.
Burning the Bible does not honor George Floyd’s legacy, but it does fit with the anti-Western and anti-American Marxist critical theory fueling the violent riots.
Portland activist Lilith Sinclair explained the mentality behind her “protest:” “There’s still a lot of work to undo the harm of colonized thought that has been pushed onto Black and indigenous communities.” As examples of “colonized thought,” she mentioned Christianity and the “gender binary.” She said she organizes for “the abolition of … the “United States as we know it.”
Straight-Up Terrorism: Antifa Burns Severed Pig’s Head With a Police Hat on Top
Marxist critical theory encourages people to deconstruct various aspects of society — such as capitalism, science the nuclear family, the Judeo-Christian tradition, even expectations of politeness (as the Smithsonian briefly taught) — as examples of white oppression. This inspires an aimless and destructive revolution.
When vandals toppled a statue of George Washington in Portland, they spray-painted “1619” on the statue, in reference to The New York Times‘ “1619 Project,” which redefines America as fundamentally racist and oppressive. When Claremont’s Charles Kesler wrote in The New York Post “Call them the 1619 riots,” Hannah-Jones, responded (in a since-deleted tweet) that “it would be an honor” to claim responsibility for the destructive riots and the defamation of American Founding Fathers like George Washington.
In a November 9, 1995 op-ed, the 1619 Project founder condemned Christopher Columbus as “no different” from Adolf Hitler and demonized the “white race” as the true “savages” and “bloodsuckers.” She went on to describe “white America’s dream” as “colored America’s nightmare.” Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) expressed a similar sentiment when she called for the “dismantling” of America’s “economy and political system,” in order to root out supposed racist oppression.
Yet the “1619 riots” have arguably oppressed black people far more than the U.S. supposedly does. The riots have destroyed black lives, black livelihoods, and black monuments. At least 22 Americans have died in the riots, most of them black.
Burning the Bible fits this destructive narrative, and it also provides yet another powerful contrast with the civil rights movement of the 1960s. Rather than burning Bibles, Martin Luther King Jr. quoted them, in order to galvanize peaceful protesters and shame the segregationists who opposed them. Rather than attempting to burn down federal courthouses, King appealed the consciences of Americans — using the very Bible that Portland rioters burned.
The Bibles that Portland rioters burned also inspired the abolitionist movement of the 1800s, a movement that culminated in the abolition of slavery. Abraham Lincoln even quoted the Bible in his second inaugural address, explaining that God brought the Civil War on America as punishment for the horrible evil of slavery:
Fondly do we hope, fervently do we pray, that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue until all the wealth piled by the bondsman’s two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said, “the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.”
It appears the rioters have decided to tone down the violence somewhat, after Gov. Kate Brown (D-Ore.) agreed to send some Oregon State Police to protect the federal courthouse, leading the federal government to pull back some officers. Brown is claiming a victory over the riots — that peace has ensued with the withdrawal of federal officers. Yet on Thursday night, rioters burned a severed pig’s head with a police hat on it, and on Friday they burned Bibles.
While the rioters did not set off mortar fireworks at the federal courthouse, it appears they persisted in lighting fires with the intention of burning it down. The contrast to Martin Luther King Jr.’s sit-ins could not be more apparent.
These rioters are not “peaceful protesters” and they are not protesting the horrific police death of George Floyd. They are agitating against American society itself. They oppose law enforcement in its entirety, and they are even willing to burn the Bible in a statement about rejecting America’s heritage.
This does not just represent an attack on George Floyd’s legacy, the legacy of the civil rights movement, and the legacy of the abolitionist movement. The noxious ideology of these rioters also undermines the positive aspects of America and encourages hatred toward the very country that provides its citizens with an unprecedented degree of freedom and prosperity. It encourages violent riots in the name of racial justice, even though those riots make life concretely worse for black Americans.

davidlyncr: Studies Show Countries Using Hydroxychloroquine have Far Fewer Deaths from COVID than Countries that Don’t
The politicization of the coronavirus is a weird thing. Certainly, it was predictable. The despicable extremists in the media will politicize anything and everything to push their agenda. That doesn’t change the fact that it’s strange to politicize a virus. They’re really trying to tell us that the proliferation of a virus is up to politicians. They really think you’re stupid enough to believe that.
A really good example of this is with the politicization of the drug hydroxychloroquine. This is a drug that has been around for decades, since the 1960’s. It is thoroughly tested and extremely well-understood. As an antiviral, a lot of doctors were willing to experiment with it to see if it could help with treating the coronavirus. Many of those doctors saw success, and President Trump made note of that.
The anti-Trump media jumped on President Trump’s mention of the drug and began a campaign to discredit him in order to try to make him look bad. They fabricated a study that suggested it was killing people. That study has since been formally retracted. They demonized a doctor who publicized her own experience in treating more than 300 patients successfully. They have squashed every study that shows the success of this drug. It’s weird. They’re going after a drug because they think it will make President Trump look bad. There’s no sense to it.
Well, the truth is still available to those who make an effort. In this video, you’ll learn about some real studies that look into hydroxychloroquine. It’s not a perfect cure, but it has unquestionably been successful in studies and trials.
