I think you might be a little confused because I don’t live or die because of these posts; you seem to greatly overestimate their importance. No, contrary to your erroneous assumptions, this is not a life and death matter because at the end of the day, this is just words on a screen and to assume that this gives you “insight” into my mind and personality is not only erroneous, it’s also highly inaccurate but then again, this is par for the course with Internet “communication” as I have learned. It’s not just you; I have seen people do this online time and again so there’s nothing unusual at all about it; people do it routinely, but it doesn’t count for very much in the vast scheme of things. So don’t take it personally because, guess what, it’s NOT about you. It's somewhat more complicated than you may realize.


As for me being “thin skinned,” well, only people who know me intimately have the right to make such an assumption and I choose not to do it with you, because frankly, I only know about you from what you post and that is not nearly enough to make such assumptions. That only seems the best way to approach how we communicate.


So, thank you for the dime store analysis but save yourself the trouble of trying to analyze me because you simply don’t know enough about me to do such a thing. I have a very rich and rewarding interior life that doesn’t leave me limitless time to indulge in that sort of sophistry. Frankly, it’s just not worth the trouble so let us just leave it at that.

I don't think so. I said nothing but the truth and it’s pretty obvious to me that you’re rankled about the whole matter but frankly, it’s not my problem anymore; it’s yours and yours alone. You're confusing a "thin skin" with "boredom", which, unfortunately, is my primary reaction to your post. I think the word "diatribe" is misused here, and it makes me wonder about your communication skills in general.


Actually, the instrument that could measure my indifference to the matter has not yet been invented.


Good luck with this; it seems to me that you’re going to need it. I think you greatly overestimate your importance in this matter, and I really could not care less.


You ought to spend a little more time rethinking your own insignificance in the vast scheme of things. It would do you---and all the rest of us--- a world of good.

So you’ve made some claims about Republicans that I don’t agree with. Many in fact. But relating to this topic of race, I would point out two comments in particular.

1)

I disagree. I am not aware of any Republican policies (“draconian” or otherwise) directed at black people or anyone else, at the advent of the twentieth century or at any other time.

I’m afraid I will need you to specify what policies you are talking about before I can comment further.

2)

I was really referring to the changes in both parties since the 1950’s because at that point in particular, the parties in question shifted their ideological platforms to conform to what they appear to be today.”

I disagree. I do not believe the Republican party “shifted” or “changed” in the 1950s or at any time either in ideology or platform with regard to race, specifically blacks.

I believe the Republican party was founded to bring about the freedom of blacks and the realization of the American dream (life, liberty, pursuit of happiness) in all its forms to all blacks in America - rights equal to every race in America, including whites. I also believe the Republican party are true to that ideology and platform today and have been every day since its founding, including from 1950 to today.

Again, I’m afraid I will need you to specify what “shifted” or “changed” before I can comment further.
