refurbwoodart: Well if you were there then you should have gotten it if you were there in summer months. Its standard for the rangers to have them. Depends what was your MOS

refurbwoodart: If you were a clerk or in a Mash you my not have gotten it but generally in any jungle assignment since the 50's in Korea anyone in jungle areas were supposed to be given it. Of course your CO may not have been keen that his clerk was suppose to order it and distribute it.

natureguy8899: I was always in the jungle, I was a scout dog handler so I led the patrols I was on. Maybe the deal was we were a specialized platoon attached to the 2/27th and got lost in the mix. We were the first dog handlers in Nam.
