#Soleimani's killing (execution)

#Soleimani's killing (execution) is for the Iranian Mullahs and Revolutionary Guard equal to if the 'Noble Cause' of the Rebel Confederacy had Robert E Lee been executed before or at Appomattox

junyabee: To reiterate its historical parallel, Soleimani was Iran's reverential equivalent to the Southern Confederacy's Gen. Lee. As was seen by what continued (successfully for the next 100 years) by the paramilitary and political reiterations of the 'Southern Cause' the peaceful surrender by Lee didn't end 'the Cause', so anticipate an Iranian chess play (w/coaching from their gleeful Russian and Chinese mentors) to the domestically driven tail-wagging-the-dog checkers-move by (Pompeo-guiding) Trump and the GOP's hoped for patriotic, lemming reaction from the American public for the upcoming election.
===================================================
To present a complaint in the General Assembly, which the Iranians could do while they (along w/the Ruskis and Chinese plan for a more demonic and cold-served revenge on the U.S.)

Though I don't think it would be done or seriously considered, I was see the parallels between the Persian Gulf and the location of the U.S. Task Force to the Chesapeake Bay of 1783 when the French Navy bottled up and successfully blockaded the 'Bay' so that the British were trapped at Yorktown. Considering the upcoming maneuvers the Iranians have with the Ruskis and Chinese, that would be a tantalizing ploy.

A cyber attack on a Cmd-n-Control center would be what I think might be tried
=============================================
The Iranians (Russians-Chinese) have time on their side with the Impeachment, the political campaign, and the Nov. elections as their easel to serve their dish of cold-revenge to show up the inept foolishness of (Pompeo-)Trump ploys.

IRAN-RUSSIA-CHINA

As much as all three despise are annoying and obstructive system, it has its 'fatted cows', We consumers. There's enough structurally vulnerable and f'cked-up about the USA, that a military encounter isn't necessary.. This is the age of asymmetric warfare.. More mischief can be done w/Fools of the present status quo of the Duopoly Corporatist Regime than burning down the house...
Yeah, those poor folks who for economic patriotism joined the military, who will be vulnerable to the thousand pin-pricks that'll be aloud to occur, but all the little other non-military ways they can f'ck with us.. (Be thankful that China is so invested in Treasuries and the other US Markets, while they're nurturing the rising economies to be their future consumers for their rising middle class' work products or a move to the Yuan as the Reserve sovereign currency would slit the throat of the US economic and political leverage)
========================================================

I was re-imagining the final days of the Civil War (after living next to the Petersburg National Battlefield and spent time reading and listening to the narratives of those last months.. IF Grant hadn't been following the wishes and orders of President Lincoln and had a more retributive (Proto-Neocon?) attitude, just imagine if Lee had been lynched at Appomattox, than the generous terms offered..??

Speaking of 'Boots on the Ground that territory spills over most of what was the Southern Confederacy. Imagine a latter-day, scorched-Earth Sherman March for this?

Nawwww... Iran could do prin-pricks of annoying humiliation before the non-volunteer public would get emotionally eager to have multiple divisions and armies crossing terrain that's no where near as receptive as the land mass being covered by that Iran over-lay. Their proxies might do some stuff, but as the saying goes, "They got us right where they want us..". There are multiple non-military and non-civilian targets that can be disrupted, outside of the self-inflicted debilities we're allowing by not acting on our own infrastructure.

=========================================================

Much like the DPRK (and if you have acces to TCM.com movie channel, check out 'The Rise and Fall of Legs Diamond' for a NGAF-PERSON-much like cynical political leaders of the US and elsewhere ) the general populace is secondary to the operations of the regime. As much as the assault of the well-being of their population is, at the least, a political aggravation, it is tangent to the operations of the state mission.
The Russians and Chinese are transactional neighbors (check out the maps). It's in their interest to have a hegemony that would stretch from the Pacific to the Mediterranean and Bosphorus Straits with client states beholding to them. A weakened US playing solitary whack-a-mole would cause more US domestic turmoil than any disruptions that they'd obligatarily crush w/o a second of remorse.. THEY, unlike the macho-driven psyche in this country have suffered decades to centuries of pain and have that historical perspective to take the long view than the quick, gratification so sought in this culture..

junyabee: Trump took the motto from P.T.Barnum, "'Nobody ever lost a dollar by underestimating the taste of the American public." He's took the triangulation of the establishment pols and showed how audacious transactionalism is more honest, even in its lack of posturing ethics. If you believe that 'THE ENDS JUSTIFY THE MEANS', then you believe that you and your posterity can endure and survive a Hobbesian Existence-https://pbs.twimg.com/media/ENZ3orCX0AEWrcq?format=png&name=small-which I surely doubt can be maintained for long

So from this I'm getting that Iran is possibly the gypsy State of outcasts by it's Capitol, which is considered to reject doctrine, be orthodox, and may be profitting from slavic nationalism much like Austria. My only argument is that a gypsy nation isn't necessarily composed of castouts, but entrepreneurial venturists, shephards, and craftsman, and militia. This is the only better rated arab nation of the region. It has been a complicit one.

junyabee: @Bytr Interesting perspective.
Iran, for me, is the iconoclast of Geo-politics, in its doctrinaire theology and with its rising more secular younger generation both of which have little gravitation to Western Free Market Neo-Liberalism or the authoritarianism of Russia or China

Bin Laden was a legacy target of self-admitted guilt, tho' I think he was more an emeritus strategist and symbol at the time of his being taken out near the FRONT YARD of the Pakistani Military Academy! Baghdadi was an on-going threat (as the other-Libs would call Trump an on-going crime...).
My implication was by the rationale you have presented: Trump was more interested in the GREATER benefit (NOT!) it would do for the general safety and welfare of the region and with NO political benefit for him (HA!), the neo-isolationist/no more foreign involvements for the any of the wasteful incidental deaths and casualties
(for his opportunistic and transactionally-minded self). (Taking an attributed quote from Stalin, "One death is a tragedy. [Many] deaths are just a regrettable statistic" applicable for the volunteer-economic-patriots, serving militarist minds and cynical politicians' policies.. Do you really thinks he gives a crap about the Arab-Muslim-Kurdish-Shia civilians who'd be collateral damage going forward??
We can see by the majority Democrat and MSM commentary on the killing that they still with deferring reverence suck the cock of militarist necessity.
Trump and his whisperer, Pompeo, have been seeking ways for the Iranians to do something dramatic and reckless as a reaction to the economic pressure and the military deployments about their country. So this was an inevitable play, but surprising that it was NOT done with BOLTON, earlier. (AND maybe a way to put a non-testifying salve on Bolton's bruised pride.)
This has been the ploy to bolster the cultural rationale that's cathartic to the supporters of the Trump Regime. And it is an example of the contending paradigms of opportunistic impunity confronting conventional formalities of process. Trump. etal., have seen that (to give homage to the banditos of the 'Treasure of the Sierra Madres', "We don't need no stinkin' conventions or process for justification!, to which the academically trained establishment thinkers of media and politics subject themselves. There's no sympathy with their base, either. for whom conventions and process are the arbitrariness of the rules of conventions that's been unfair to their grievances.
If my hunch of regional flare ups-much like the disruptive, regional consequences of climate change, which are occurring in Australia, etc- the required deployments of the DEPLORABLE's kids and other economic-patriot hostages, to render their vows of duty and obedience to the consequential CONVENTIONS-N-PROCESSES of their military vows and oaths to those (AND to leave no doubt about who"those" are-theTrump Crime Administration) who have little to no regard for honest conventions or processes, WILL THERE BE THE CONTINUED CONSUMERIST 'ALL WE WANT TO DO IS DANCE [AND CONSUME]' mentality of the general public OR will they be out in the streets against such state of political affairs without going through the formality of rationalizing their acts with a new
'Declaration of Revolution'???
OR will there be a DESPICABLE's version of John Wilkes Booth, who will martyr themselves for their successful attempt of consummating and reasserting Booth's call in their own non-conventional, non-process dispatching of THOSE perceived worthy of the motto, "Sic semper Tyrannis!"?

The general out of the equation is one less mastermind to worry about
Next should be little Big man in North Korea and all his inner circle, old boys club members are still from his fathers regime.

On the counter attack against the USA by the Iranians is when there's a big gathering of politicians of both sides of the spectrum , bureaucrats and lobbyists amongst the herd and just let it blow
Draw back for the American citizens would be the countless hours of television with state funerals for the fallen , media networks would have material for months on end
Swamp partially empty

Comes down to this...

Anyone that supported Soleimani, supports radical fundamental extremist Islam. You know, the folks that want to destroy Israel and the genocide of the Jews worldwide and the destruction of the United States and the West.

Why? That was his goal.

His nation is grieving , other nations are delighted and rejoicing
His family and friends are grieving
