Sir Loin
Sir Loin: Kamusta Echolegacy, I don't recall stating I know nothing about US politics. Certainly I don't understand your electoral system, however I know enough to realise you have an idiot for a president and your foreign policy benefits nobody but USA.
I wasn't in Germany in 1938 either but I know enough to realise Hitler wasn't a very nice man.
In answer to your question about my having been to Philippines, yes I have many times. I consider it my second home. My wife and I own land there on which we intend building a home, not in Manila but further south in Visayas.
If you intend staying only in Manila you will be seeing Philippines at its worst, the problems provincial Philippines have is magnified tenfold in Manila and you will miss out on seeing some wonderful scenery and meeting delightful people if you stay in Manila.
Incidentally I din't travel there to "get a young girl" I went there to have a diving holiday at Apo Island and swim with giant sea turtles over a coral reef. I just happened to meet a younger woman while there.
Anyway if you're staying longer in Philippines I'd really recommend getting out of Manila, you can pick up cheap flights to Cebu or Dumaguette easily at the Cebu Pacific counter in NAIA, I wouldn't suggest visiting Mindanao with the current unrest there, it's not safe for Westerners.

Asiababe: President Dutuerte have just told police they can shoot anyone breaking the quarantine laws. If you go out and corona don't kill you, cops will.
He have paid every family 70k piso during lockdown and Barangay Kaptains to pass this to every home. Unfortunately some Baragay Kaptains steal this money and dont give to families who starve.
I hope cops shoot those crooks too.

Ichigo_
Ichigo_: Sir Loin, in regards to your question on page 1. about the electoral/impeachment system in the U.S... I'll try to make it short. In the U.S., this system really is horrible. Citizens do not elect a president. A group of people called the electoral college does, and they do NOT always follow the "popular vote" of the people. There have been a couple presidents elected that didnt have the majority vote. As far as impeachment goes, it has to pass through both the Senate AND the House of Representatives. In the U.S. there really are only two major parties, (Dem's & Repub's) so the president who IS one of these, will always be supported by one or the other. It's not easy to get a president out of office, but it CAN happen, like in the case of Nixon. Anyway, hope that helps a little

Ichigo_: This is what I don't fully understand. Duterte is the rightful president. Aquino is known, not only by Duterte but by the citizens, to be a drug runner and a murderer. So why is he not hunted down as a terrorist? In my opinion, if Duterte wants to play it smart, he should expose Aquino as being a wanted terrorist. Get help from the U.S. even... We love hunting terrorists right? Or has this not happened because he's so wealthy? Hmmmn

refurbwoodart: I liked him as soon as I heard that he said if you see drug deals going down in your neighborhood shoot them and then call us. I think he is working with the international drug task force to stop lots of meth and heroine that gets shipped to Philippines and then sent out to other countries. I know the US coast guard caught lots of ships coming from there before he became president.
