Let there be a 2 term maximum on every level of government representatives ,just like the President ( sit out 1 term and you can campaign to be re-elected again. ) cut their salaries by 90% and before they are potential candidates,administer them to a polygraphic text with a variety of questions by the average citizen ( no media personalities) , things like tax cheating, false claims and lies to advance political / financial gains , sexual harassment / rape , etc.

I bet that all political parties would shot down that idea to ground zero even if 99 % of the American citizens were in favour.
