Thank you, Chronology, for your kind words in my defense....if this character dihctatr insists on posting insulting statements to me, my first impulse is to throw it right back in her face. My original statement was a joke I’d overheard somebody tell about Trump’s appalling lack of education. She responded by re-editing it to be an insult directed at ME, so I responded in kind. Maybe it wasn’t the wisest thing to do because now, I have THIS unpleasant person with which to contend and her post was, at least to me, incoherent and read like gibberish and all I did was say so. Too bad if it annoyed her; it annoys ME to have to try and penetrate the fog of incoherent gibberish which, as you rightly pointed out, is so characteristic of this place. I looked into the matter and as you might expect, dihctatr deleted her original post, trying to cover her tracks, I suppose, but it went something like this: "If you want to hide something from Echo, put it in a book," and if you go back and check into it, you will see that she deleted it (17 hours ago, in fact) yesterday after I called her out on it. So, in addition to being insulting she is also a LIAR as I am inclined to think. If she wasn't, then maybe she can explain WHY she deleted it. I am many things but one thing I am NOT is a liar who charges people with acts that they never committed. She DID do it and I stand on that.



As for Fractured Fairy Tale—an appropriate name, considering the otherworldliness and incoherence of his posts—this is a person with whom I have tangled with before and he has been consistently rude to me despite my efforts to be civil with him. It came to nothing. He hates Americans and his posts are alternately harmless or abusive and I’m just sick of it. So I said so and since you suggested to me that some of the people who post here act and sound like chronic drunkards, well, I just went with that because nothing else seems to explain their vulgar behavior. Given the content and their tone these people DO act and sound like chronic drunkards. If they don’t like that then maybe they ought to try and be a little more polite, even if they object to jokes about Donald Trump. It would hardly be the first time somebody made a good joke at this idiot’s expense. They ought to be used to it by now, God knows. As for YOUR suggestion that I "run to the moderator," Fractured, I hardly need THAT to deal with a miscreant and a confirmed liar like YOU. I'm more than up to the task so don't try to bluff and bullshit me because I know your game and I'm onto it--and to you. If you decide to respond to this---then, try using spell check just once. It would be a refreshing change from your incoherent ranting.



I am not an argumentative person by nature but to endure insults from complete strangers who know nothing about me or my life is more than I am willing to tolerate. So I just give it back to them in spades—a more than justifiable reaction— because I give as good as I get and I yielded to the impulse because it rankles me just to have to confront it.



The post from this dihctatr person implied that I was uneducated and ignorant to boot and after thirty years of teaching adolescents—something which prepared me for the people one meets here—it seemed so much at odds with the truth that it provoked me to respond as I did. If this individual insists on posting things like her original insult, I won’t report it, I will just ignore it or block her,whichever seems easier. But this shows you what you get even when you make a small joke at Trump’s expense—all kinds of vermin crawl out of the woodwork to attack you and I don’t tolerate that sort of thing, at least, not willingly. It really shows you the caliber of person who always rises to Trump’s defense, and who needs shit like that anyway?



So thank you for your defense of me and your kind words: they are greatly appreciated and I won’t forget the gesture. It demonstrated real class and good character, a genuine rarity in this place.
