Anyone can create a YouTube vid, a fb post, what is their credentials that their knowledge is based on? Even persons who are pro-vaxx have made errors that after checking medical explanations it showed up. So I just go straight to the medical sources to save that time. I get that everyone has views but not everyone has backed their views by facts or reasons. That’s why I prefer the one-to-one interaction of questions and answers, not being lectured one-sidedly. I think the issue appears to be that people see it as a forced situation vs a health emergency issue. One thing we do agree on is that this COVID-19 virus is a mess. I’ll add too that I have the same ‘less faith’ in the media (social and mainstream) unless they are reporting something directly and not giving their own two-cents. And I have even more ‘less faith’ in politicians. I will listen and weigh what a person has to say, don’t get me wrong, there are topics that calls for it. But Brian, when something is medical and serious, why should the average person’s view outweigh someone who have spent years studying the human anatomy? Someone with specific credentials on the topic. Many want to be seen as geniuses, they want views & likes and get that attention when giving their two cents on every matter. … none of the knowledge we have we are born with, we acquire knowledge and there will be persons who are more knowledgeable on a matter based on studying it. I prefer to pay attention and not dismiss what these specialists in the field say even when they disagree I would then weigh it on what fits. I have a sick mother, and kids to be concerned about, I’ve spoken to the doctor and read up on the info on the different vaccines. I’m not scared to dying from COVID-19, or from the vaccine. This will most likely means cuts from other areas paid by taxes. To do this I believe a country will have to redo the annual budget plan. Some countries may not be able to afford to make these cuts. 2) Say we get a good amount of money. What will we invest in? - I’m not seeing how money will increase the amount of doctors we have (who at the start of this issue were overrun in harder hit countries) - More hospitals, or hospital beds or hospitals equipments? - to place where? When there are hospitals in urban areas and no physical space for it. I don’t think that it’ll be sustainable to continue on like this. And I’ve said also people can choose. However, we no longer live in the past where one person’s decision has zero effect on others. When a personal decision starts affecting others, then it gets addressed. It has been shown that an unvaccinated person can transfer the virus much easier than a vaccinated. And when they get the virus they have a greater percentage in the hospitals. Then what is the rest of society to do with that? Had I chose to be unvaccinated and know that I pose a greater risk then I will accommodate for it. I would own up to that and take responsibility. Perhaps by having an increase in testing, isolating and spacing myself in public even. But this is not what the outspoken unvaccinated want. They want to have everything opened up and for us to get back to square one. No open dialogue even.
