Wordy and Fun: Biddy - Do you believe Stacey Abrams was cheated in her election? Was the election fair in Georgia when Dems won but unfair when Dems lost?

Abrams lost by nearly 55,000 votes and never did concede.

Project Veritas is an American far-right activist group founded by James O'Keefe in 2010. The group produces deceptively edited videos of its undercover operations, which use secret recordings to allege misconduct and corruption in mainstream media organizations and progressive groups. Project Veritas uses entrapment to generate bad publicity for its targets, and has propagated disinformation and conspiracy theories in its videos and operations.

Targets of Project Veritas include Planned Parenthood, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), NPR, CNN, and The Washington Post. In 2009, Project Veritas associates published misleading videos that depicted ACORN employees providing advice on concealing illegal activity, causing ACORN to shut down after losing funding; ACORN was cleared of wrongdoing by the Attorney General of California in 2010, and the associates paid a total of $150,000 in settlements to an ACORN employee who sued for defamation. NPR CEO Vivian Schiller resigned in 2013 after Project Veritas released a deceptively edited video portraying another NPR executive making controversial comments about the Tea Party movement and NPR's federal funding. Project Veritas unsuccessfully attempted to mislead The Washington Post into publishing false information about the Roy Moore sexual misconduct allegations in 2017; the Post won a Pulitzer Prize after uncovering the operation.

As a non-governmental organization, Project Veritas is financed by conservative fund Donors Trust (which provided over $6.6 million from 2011 to 2019) and other supporters including the Donald J. Trump Foundation. In 2020, The New York Times published an exposé detailing Project Veritas' use of spies recruited by Erik Prince, to infiltrate "Democratic congressional campaigns, labor organizations and other groups considered hostile to the Trump agenda". The Times piece notes O'Keefe's and Prince's close links to the Trump administration, and details contributions such as a $1 million transfer of funds from an undisclosed source to support their work. The findings were based in part on discovery documents in a case brought by the American Federation of Teachers, Michigan, which had been infiltrated by Project Veritas.

Rhubarbarian: Hmm Wordy and Fun.... I assume because you criticise Biden for his lack of eloquence, that you are a great fan of Mr Obama, who was undeniably an orator. And I'm sure you also, as well as Mr Biden, should also criticise Mr Trump for his directionless stream of consciousness speeches which were more redolent of Mr Castro's weekly speeches to Cubans... unable to be grammatical or in charge of the facts.

Wordy and Fun: I criticize Biden because he has held one press conference since elected - And the one press conference he held he picked questions from reporters that were circled on his cheat sheet -
Do you not recall Trump standing up there just taking random questions? You may not have liked his answers but at least he stood up there and took them - Why wont Joe do the same? He is the leader of this country right?

Should he not get out there in front of reporters regulary and answer questions?

Wordy and Fun: Biden is set to hold the first press conference of his presidency—65 days into his term—at 1:15 p.m. in the East Room on Thursday.

No president since Calvin Coolidge has waited as long as Biden to hold his first news conference, according to The Atlantic.

Through day 62 of his presidency, Biden spoke 121,620 words publicly and spent 12:42:43 on camera, over 30% less than former President Donald Trump during the same period, according to data provided to Forbes by Factba.se, a data analytics site.

Trump had nearly three times as much airtime and spoke nearly three times as many words during the same period in 2020.

Rhubarbarian: as I say, most of Mr Trump's was rambling stream of consciousness, a la Castro's gargantuan self-obsessed monologues. Do you prefer your politicians to be succint and meaningful or is it all about the stopwatch?

I take your point about Biden taking a long time though, would have been much better to hear from him earlier, but Obama was always the orator.

Rhubarbarian: It's a shame, I addressed your points about Biden's lack of press conf, and about the timings. It seems you are ducking mine about Mr Trump's long Castro like speeches which never say much about policy. And you are ducking about Mr Obama's eloquence and press conference history. If you are just a guy shouting in a bullhorn, with cotton in your ears and a refusal to engage with opposing points of fact, I'll bid you adieu.

srbiddy09: @wordy: So, it seems that you dislike President Biden because he hasn't held many press conferences since his inauguration. In contrast, I dislike Former President Trump because he made false claims about the 2020 election and incited a mob of uneducated cretins to commit treason against America. Which transgression do you think is worse?

Rhubarbarian: and I just checked becuase I was sure there was a hiatus in Mr Trump's press conferences and indeed he help none for the 6 months between April and September 2019. I take it you *really* disapporive of that, be you already hated that Mr Biden waited 65 days. Well Mr Trump in April 2019 waited 180+ days...

A little consistency would be good maybe?

Wordy and Fun: Thats your opinion that he incited a mob Biddy - When and if he gets convicted then we can discuss that

"I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard," Trump said in his speech. "Today we will see whether Republicans stand strong for [the] integrity of our elections, but whether or not they stand strong for our country, our country. Our country has been under siege for a long time, far longer than this four-year period."

Wordy and Fun: Like Bloomberg biddy?
The Trump campaign says it will refuse credentials to reporters with Bloomberg News, the outlet owned by Democratic presidential hopeful Michael Bloomberg.

After Mr Bloomberg's official entry to the 2020 race last week, Bloomberg said it would stop critically covering the Democratic candidates.

But the outlet said it would continue to investigate US President Donald Trump's administration.

So this news outlet would not cover Biden or Dems but wanted to cover Trump and Republicans? Sounds alittle biased to me

Wordy and Fun: The Democratic president did more than complain. His administration at times took action against the cable network. The Obama Justice Department surveilled one of Fox News’ reporters, and a White House spokesman acknowledged excluding Fox News from interviews.

Rhubarbarian: Incited a mob was the clear majority decision of Dem and Rep senators who heard the evidence. He wasn't impeached (a legal process) but incitement, well over 50% agreed, so on balance, he incited.

srbiddy09: @wordy: Only a total fuckwit would fail to see that Trump incited a riot against our government on January 6th.

He stoked the flames for months with his baseless claims about "election fraud," invited his gullible and uneducated mob of cretins to Washington, riled them up and then sent them to the Capitol to do his bidding And, to make matters worse, during the riot itself, he publicly told the rioters that he "loved" them.

Also, one need not be "convicted" of a crime to be be guilty of it.
