Do America like the idea of two Koreas uniting? Or do they oppose it? Live_By_Common_Sense: Tell me what you guys think, about having one day the unification of two Koreas. I really do want to know your thoughts upon it. (Edited by Live_By_Common_Sense) freedomfirst1797: Korea should be one nation. It should be reunified, just like Germany and Vietnam were brought back together after being divided for political reasons. But this decision whether to reunify or not must be made by the Korean people, and not imposed on them by anyone else. There should be a plebiscite of the Korean people, both north and south, supervised by the United Nations. It should be free and fair, and if it was conducted this way I doubt most would vote for reunification. If this actually does happen, it will result in peace and prosperity for the north and the New Korea will be a much more powerful and important nation. Much like what happened to Germany after reunification. Live_By_Common_Sense: We all know that America wants the one Korea to have its government backed up by South. What if Kim's regime don't want to fall power? The giant midget: spot on Freedom it's the people that must decide not a politician thousands of miles away Asian why are you saying that USA wants the south to govern the new Korea? what makes you think that? Live_By_Common_Sense: America had its policy where they consider Communism as a losing party. America had wars against Communism. So you know for a fact that USA considers Kim's regime as a terrorist. A no good working politic. briansmythe: Yeah Its a verry valid Question and one most people don"t think of , they think its all about the Nuclear program Live_By_Common_Sense: Exactly, and most American put that out in the media repeating the word "nuke" behind North Korea's action. Now I see the word unification coming in few times now. dave3974: the new korea could be a major power ---but it will take a few decades, BUT WELL DONE TRUMP , there is no economic reason for war Live_By_Common_Sense: Yes, we need time and lots of experience to give to North Korea. So they can establish the economy that South Korea has as of right now. briansmythe: Well Secret Its all Quite Simple , Hollywood and Music producers Don"t want Gangster Rap taken over By K pop , Cos Gun sales would fall ,and It would be Bad for the US Economy (Edited by briansmythe) briansmythe: Yeah so does Japan Mexico Europe In fact Its funny when you look at other Countrys America is the Only country that sells them every where freedomfirst1797: Should we stop putting criminals in prison? What sort of country do you want to live in? briansmythe: Itss true tho asain .highest per capita in the devoloped world prolly a product of privatized jail system Live_By_Common_Sense: briansmythe, I realize your grammar is slowing losing its balance. What is happening in your end? briansmythe: Oh sorry Asian , I was using my A lot , I suppose they Oppose it other wise they would of United long ago freedomfirst1797: Secret_Asian.... it is pretty easy to make up tinfoil hat conspiracy theories. Anyone can do it. FACT: Prisons were NOT created "to feed off cheap labor." They were created to keep our most dangerous criminals away from society. They do not generate any profit for us, only costs. Whatever cheap labor that prisoners generate doesn't come close to covering the cost of imprisoning them. If you feel like someone is benefiting by keeping dangerous criminals in prison, then you are right. But it isn't some cabal of greedy capitalists, it is the ordinary citizens. We can debate whether so many need to be imprisoned, but to imply that the reason was cheap labor is sheer nonsense. I really thought you were smarter than that. (Post deleted by Live_By_Common_Sense ) briansmythe: I think your question is around the wrong way to tell you the Truth , It should be Does China want the two Koreas to Unite , Still the same answer , No if that was the case would of happened a long time Ago For a Country that keeps going on about Freedom and Liberty they seem to Hell bent On Destroying every thing | Politics Chat Room 29 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
