kittybobo34: last I heard he was going to try to get the military to do something on military land, But, even that will be difficult, they cant even guard the border., So, the back up plan is to use the National Guard. What's interesting, just a few months ago Trump was taking bows for solving the immigration problem, now he is talking like its a disaster.

Every leader of a nation 1 st duty is to protect its citizens from foreign invasion by land ,air or sea .
Mr. Trump is doing what he has to do to in order to protect the American people by any means
If politicians of any political party oppose in protecting their nation borders and its citizens.they should be charged with treason as they are not fulfilling their duties as citizens nor as a politician
If building a wall or installing a 10 million voltage electric fence ,or deployment of troops with strict rules of engagement the president of the nation is doing his job

kittybobo34: I think there is some rule that Federal Troops can't be used for local law enforcement. You have to use the National Guard, and immigration is a legal issue. Unless your saying that the Mexican army is coming.

There are numerous reasons why governments worldwide protect their borders and the USA is no different,
Immigration is a legal matter and that's true
ILLEGAL immigration is a national security issue .
1st its trespassing on private property
2nd health risks
3rd potential criminal activity

Kittybobo can you please tell me what happens to a person that tries to enter forcefully the grounds of a presidential residence in your case the White House or the Swiss embassy in Paris,France or a lions cage at the local zoo??

kittybobo34: As far as I know, no one forcefully is entering the country. Some are sneaking in. Regardless we have border guards, and a National Guard that has to be requested by the State Governor.
Seems like most of the conservatives are always talking about States rights.. well this is a state right.
