Anti Semitism Laws create anti semitism

I K R: Everyone is getting fed up of hearing about it

Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities

Not sure I understand what you are trying to convey...

Are you saying that laws against those that discriminate against Jews are causing the hate against Jews?

Are you also saying that 'everyone' is getting fed up about hearing about the hate against Jews?

Are you suggesting that the media should not report hate crimes against Jews because 'evryone' is tired of hearing about it?

I K R: If someone commits a crime then they should be punished......is it a crime to hate anything? Not usually, n if people are gonna hate Jews they wont stop becasue they can prosecuted for it. Since the introduction of the new antisemitism laws .... antisemitism has more than doubled!!! There's the proof

It is becoming distasteful An 87 yo German grandmother Ursula Haverbeck-Wetzel, was convicted of Holocaust denial in 2015, she remained out of jail until recently when she lost her appeal. She is now in prison for the THIRD time for being a holocaust denier........Which is bad enough but then i learnt that the official definition of a holocaust denier does not necessarily mean that they denied the holocaust....it can mean they have questioned the facts and evidence surrounding the holocaust......N that is what Ursula Haverbeck did .....she said there's no evidence of a holocaust happening at Auschwitz and that has landed her in jail for 11 months at 87 yo.....who s the Nazi?

Secondly why make holocaust denial laws.......I never questioned the holocaust until these laws came about.....Now I wonder......N ive listened to David Irving a British Historian who said the gas chambers at Auschwitz where in a different place to the ones they claim to have been.......n hes been branded a denier and landed a 3 YEAR prison sentence for his opinion .!!

N now this, a scottish guy has been arrested for training his dog to lift its paw when he says Hitler ,......That a crime??? ....OMG .this is BS......i think all Hate crimes are BS i think they're stupid

N then i read this....

Scottish Jews are so “afraid” to go about their day-to-day lives that one in six hide their identities, according to a recent study. The investigation - funded by the Scottish Government - also reveals that a significant proportion of Jews are considering leaving the country due to anti-semitism.

http://www.scotsman.com/news/scottish-jews-afraid-to-lead-lives-in-scotland-1-4193206

Smearing the Scots without giving a reason!! and they've had to waste money on an investigation??!! What a cheek!!!

Its all getting out of hand, we are heading towards thought police being introduced n it could backfire badly at some point

IKR..I'm surprised at you. Not to have anti-hate laws lets everyone know that it is ok to hate. I can not imagine a rally where they are spreading anti-gay ( sub f word) or anti-black ( sub n word) or anti-Jew ( sub k word) for that matter.

But. Just. Can't. Handle. 3. Sub-x. Words. Namely: sub f, n, and k. Just can't do that. Nope.

You can not yell fire in a theatre. It's against the law. It's not against free speech.

Also, you can not use speech for hate or to incite rioting. It's against the law. It's not against free speech.

But then, you know this.

I K R: The reason I dont like "hate crime" is becasue it starts off as being a crime motivated by hate, n then morphs into being the crime of hate......where no crime has been committed at all .....N where will it end? If its a crime to hate Jews, then muslims, then blacks, then why not Americans or English.......plenty of people dont like like the English......Its ok to hate or dislike (i think hate is a strong word)..... as long as you dont commit a crime......
I think greed is as bad of a characteristic as hate if not worse.....you might have reason to hate.......but its not a crime to be greedy.
We already have laws saying you cant commit murder....that applies to everyone n its enough....a person who is murdered becasue of hate is no worse off than the one murdered for greed? ....they're both dead

I K R:

This is the UK’s College of Policing definition of antisemitism.....

Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.
In addition, such manifestations could also target the state of Israel, conceived as a Jewish collectivity. Antisemitism frequently charges Jews with conspiring to harm humanity, and it is often used to blame Jews for “why things go wrong.” It is expressed in speech, writing, visual forms and action, and employs sinister stereotypes and negative character traits.

Contemporary examples of antisemitism in public life, the media, schools, the workplace, and in the religious sphere could, taking into account the overall context, include, but are not limited to:

Calling for, aiding, or justifying the killing or harming of Jews in the name of a radical ideology or an extremist view of religion.

Making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews as such or the power of Jews as collective — such as, especially but not exclusively, the myth about a world Jewish conspiracy or of Jews controlling the media, economy, government or other societal institutions.

Accusing Jews as a people of being responsible for real or imagined wrongdoing committed by a single Jewish person or group, or even for acts committed by non-Jews.

Denying the fact, scope, mechanisms (e.g. gas chambers) or intentionality of the genocide of the Jewish people at the hands of National Socialist Germany and its supporters and accomplices during World War II (the Holocaust).Accusing the Jews as a people, or Israel as a state, of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust.

Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations.

Examples of the ways in which antisemitism manifests itself with regard to the State of Israel taking into account the overall context could include:

Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor.

Applying double standards by requiring of it a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation.

Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis.

Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.

Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of Israel.

However, criticism of Israel similar to that leveled against any other country cannot be regarded as antisemitic. Antisemitic acts are criminal when they are so defined by law (for example, denial of the Holocaust or distribution of antisemitic materials in some countries).

Criminal acts are antisemitic when the targets of attacks, whether they are people or property – such as buildings, schools, places of worship and cemeteries – are selected because they are, or are perceived to be, Jewish or linked to Jews.

Antisemitic discrimination is the denial to Jews of opportunities or services available to others and is illegal in many countries.

Thats way too long to define just one word

Mumtaz, once again, stupidly said:

But somehow a few weeks ago, you were using your 99%-vs-1% fallacy to prove that Muslims as a whole are a problem, and therefore a Muslim is guilty unless proven innocent.

David responds to the idiot:

I said, 99% of Muslims are peace loving, family oriented folks.

Now how in the hell did Mumtaz the idiot, perceive that I said that "as a whole [Muslims] are a problem?????????????

All that I can perceive is that Mumtaz is a fool, pure and simple.

Antisemitism...

Anti-Semitism is the prejudice, discrimination and hatred of Jews
as a national, ethnic, religious or racial group.

The definition you used..."...Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews.:

A certain perception? It either is or is not antisemitism. There is no grey area.
