ghostgeek: The suspects in the attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils were planning one or more bigger attacks than those that were carried out, police say.

Catalonia's police chief said blasts in a town south of Barcelona on Wednesday deprived the plotters of bomb material, forcing them to carry out simpler attacks using vehicles to ram crowds.

Police are seeking Moussa Oukabir, thought to be 17, suspected of carrying out Thursday's Barcelona attack.

Thirteen people died in Las Ramblas.

Scores of others were injured as a van driver zig-zagged along the famous tourist street.

Moussa Oukabir is suspected of using his brother's documents to rent the van that mowed down people on the famous boulevard.

Hours later, police killed five suspected jihadists in a second vehicle attack in the town of Cambrils. A woman injured in that attack died later.

Police said the men killed in Cambrils were linked to the Barcelona attack, which the Islamic State (IS) group said it had carried out.

xylance: When someone tells me they are muslim, I take that to mean they cannot be trusted, that they are my enemy, the anti Christ who has come to destroy our way of life by any means possible. Even if that means being "nice."
When I come across an apparently "nice" muslim, I go home, read the koran, remind myself what Islam teaches.
There is no version of Islam that doesn't permit child marriage or the killing of infidels
There is no version of Islam that believes in equality of any kind.
Every version of Islam tells muslins they have a duty to god to spread Islam NOT ESCAPE IT.....and those who try to prevent this from happening will burn in hell fire for eternity.
Do not put your personal experiences of Muslims above the teachings of Islam because NO muslim will do that.

Jesssaa: Briansmythe, excellent video... FINALLY we have a muslim who is honest. The question remains, however, if one muslim is honest, there must be more, and where are they? What do they have to say, and would it be enough for a handful of muslims to stand up and say "Our religion is infested with violence, and we will not have this any longer."?
