Look no further: "...Idotic...don"t...Propagenderized dribble...Shovelled.....Wouln"t...amexed...Sigh in amaxement...Googile......Grushing Praise...Its Ok...its Benieth...Agknolage...get Got the Message your Better...

Need any more of an explanation than that^^. Dude's brain doesn't even work well enough to spell & punctuate properly on a regular basis...He's apparently got a devil living inside or some kind of brain damage. Decide for yourself--it's obviously some kind of mental problem. No one here should take anything he posts seriously--as it's pretty clear that his intellectual capacity is quite off in a big way...

ghostgeek: Each day, the Chula Vista police respond to as many as 15 emergency calls with a drone, launching more than 4,100 flights since the program began two years ago. Chula Vista, a Southern California city with a population of 270,000, is the first in the country to adopt such a program, called Drone as First Responder.

Over the last several months, three other cities — two in California and one in Georgia — have followed suit. Police agencies from Hawaii to New York have used drones for years, but mostly in simple, manually flown ways. Officers would carry a drone in the trunk of a car on patrol or drive it to a crime scene before launching it over a park or flying it inside a building.

But the latest drone technology — mirroring technology that powers self-driving cars — has the power to transform everyday policing, just as it can transform package delivery, building inspections and military reconnaissance. Rather than spending tens of millions of dollars on large helicopters and pilots, even small police forces could operate tiny autonomous drones for a relative pittance.

That newfound automation, however, raises civil liberties concerns, especially as drones gain the power to track vehicles and people automatically. As the police use more drones, they could collect and store more video of life in the city, which could remove any expectation of privacy once you leave the home.

chronology: Ghost. There is a upside to this new technology. For example, at soccer games, it is very common to hear racist comments shouted at players. There are also hate comments made to Gay players. But now, a simple zoom of the cameras gives instant facial recognition either at the time, or later if the data is in the system. Players can sue for damages.

chronology: Zef, there are already devices to bring down drones electronically. It is legal to bring down a drone over your property. But you must return the drone to its owner. If your wife, or under age daughters were videoed on the drone memory card you could hand that over to the police and they will decide to whether to prosecute the drone pilot. He will wind up on the sex offenders register for life.

zeffur: "The new drone can fly up to 15 miles and carry packages that weigh up to five pounds."

How much weight can drones actually carry? Some can carry a payload of as much as 500 lbs: https://www.foxnews.com/tech/huge-drone-can-lift-500-pounds

Dynamite: 190g (~.42 lb) has the explosive energy of: (~1 MJ, ~0.28 kWh, ~2.49E-7 kt of TNT). (1 stick=cardboard cylinder (~20 cm (8 in) L x 3.2 cm (1.25 in) D & ~190g)

TNT: ~2.3 kg (5 lbs) has the explosive energy of: (~9.5 MJ, 2.52 kWh, 2.3E-06 kt of TNT)

W98 Warhead: 58 kg (~128 lbs) has the explosive energy of: (~301 GJ, 83.7 MWh, .072 kt of TNT)

Here's some specific energy data for a clearer relative comparison:
Gunpowder: 3 MJ/kg
TNT: 4.2 MJ/kg
Dynamite: 5.3 MJ/kg
W88 nuclear warhead: 5.5 TJ/kg

TheCovenant
TheCovenant: Well with all the modern technology there is no more resistance. Closed down in 1980. I think real Judges ( those who have suffered hardship in their lives) are urban legends as opposed to politically appointed judges, which are the norm. People who watch TV assume policing is still in the 1960s era, and if that were true the best we could get is 1984 and brave new world, The reality is we are in the 21st century, and way beyond Minority Report. My psychiatrist has never seen the Running Man so he wants me to go to prison, where he can "correct" me better.

Fortunately for the "Free World" the Chinese have cooked up the COVID 19 virus to strike back at the Awesome power of the state. Hopefully, we are just a few mutations away from over stressing the police apparat. At the moment the police are using sneezing and coughing as an excuse for electronic surveillance, so as to have total "control" ( as my father in law says), because after all, now, one sneeze could kill thousands, and whats more important than safety first. Recall that there is no such thing as an illegal police wiretap, just (sometimes rarely) an inadmissible one in court. An inadmissible wiretap won't protect you from a police hit, but may be enough to sway a Judges mind to secure a conviction. Judges often make the mistake of assuming culpable is the same as guilty, and do so for narcissistic reasons. The police abhor not guilty verdicts and insist on a third sentence, the Karma conviction, which allows police to "correct"(as in the shining) the not guilty for the purposes of maintaining their authority in the face of constitutional protections. After all if a perp were not guilty the police wouldnt have a basis to charge them.
Just as we are getting vaccines, new strains are arriving, it is a race between the hospitals and the mutations, and if our hospitals collapse under the weight of new patients, we can only hope that state security collapses next.
piece be with you.

PS If you hear a parrot, look to your shoulder to see if there is a bird there, if there isnt its just someone spouting du Bullshit ca.

ghostgeek: What happens in this brave new world of ours if there's a shortage of electronic chips?

Chip Shortage Spirals Beyond Cars to Phones and Consoles ...

Auto and electronics makers that cut back drastically in the early days of the outbreak are now rushing to re-up orders, only to get turned away because chipmakers are stretched to the max supplying smartphone giants like Apple Inc. This week, Qualcomm Inc.’s Cristiano Amon, head of the world’s largest mobile chipmaker, flagged shortages “across the board,” citing the industry’s reliance on just a handful of players in Asia.

Amon joined a growing chorus of industry leaders warning in recent weeks they can’t get enough chips to make their products. Carmakers appear in direst straits and have spurred the U.S. and German governments to come to their aid -- General Motors Co. this month was forced to mothball three North American plants and Ford Motor Co. is bracing for a 20% drop in near-term output. But more industries have lately copped to shortages, emphasizing how Covid-19 and a boom in a new breed of 5G-ready smartphones like the iPhone 12 is exacerbating a shortage of capacity plaguing the entire consumer industry. Chip shortages are expected to wipe out $61 billion of sales for automakers alone, but the hit to the much larger electronics industry -- while tough to quantify at this early stage -- could be far larger.
