gronchbove: Do you see any similiarities in the Harkonnens and British Empire?

Sting, I can't remember the other brother and then the Baron Harkonnnen. They wanted to steal oil (spice) from the desert.

ghostgeek: All I can remember of it is some big sand worm doing its thing. As for the British Empire, it was a little before my time.

You can travel freely anywhere in the EU without a visa, right?

Geoff: Yes - for clarity
A citizen of the UK has all the rights and privileges of any EU citizen; free movement (although as the UK is not part of Schengen we technically need a passport, but not a visa) and the freedom to live and work anywhere in the EU.

gronchbove: OK, thanks.

The difference and the reason why the UK is only partially a member of the EU is because you still have your own currency and laws.

Technically, you UK folks don't need to listen to Belgium for setting your laws, right?

"If you could oblige me."

I read many Greeks want to leave for Germany. Why can't 100% of the Greeks leave that nation and travel to Germany for jobs?

gronchbove: Ghost, I don't understand. I read that the other nations were "closing their borders to the Greeks."

Greek Reporter said:

"Three Million Greeks Want To Leave"

So why don't they?

gronchbove: Personally, I think that while the law says they CAN leave, the nations are preventing them from leaving.

ghostgeek: If the Greeks want to go to Germany, they can. They're in the Schengen area.

Geoff referred to it also.

gronchbove: Yes, Dave3974. Because the Greeks will.

I read that when Moldava joined, like 33% of the population moved into the EU.

I support the UK leaving the EU.
