POTUS '16

ASAP Minty: Hello,

As I'm sure you're all aware, the 2016 Presidential Election is a year away (and a month but who's counting). This will be my first presidential election and i need some help with something: Why should I vote for President?

I will vote on local elections/propositions; they affect my world. However, I plan to leave POTUS/VP boxes blank. I'm not saying one vote won't make a difference, I just don't see why I should invest time and thought into choosing someone that either cant fulfill the promises theyre making now because of indecision in Congress, or someone whose majority views I dont agree with but wont have trouble passing laws/bills in Congress? I think it's unrealistic to put faith in one person and hope for the Christmas Miracles each plans to bring to our Nation (not that theyre lying, im sure they really think they can cut taxes and increase spending).

I welcome all political philosophies and thank you for your time.
