Even the quote you are switching to does not support that ‘the pen’ causes more violence. It is said to emphasise that ‘the pen’ (not a figurative pen) be used instead of violence. There is no point in regulating ‘pens’ or ‘pencils’ figuratively or metaphorically as in the same manner as is being discussed for guns (an actual object). Do you understand??
