lori100: just, are you ok with this from 'leaders'?-----Former President George H.W. Bush travels to Saudi Arabia on behalf of the privately owned Carlyle Group, the 11th largest defense contractor in the U.S. While there he meets privately with the Saudi royal family and the bin Laden family.

--------14. January 2001 -

The Bush Administration orders the FBI and intelligence agencies to "back off" investigations involving the bin Laden family, including two of Osama bin Laden’s relatives (Abdullah and Omar) who were living in Falls Church, Va. -- right next to CIA headquarters. This followed previous orders dating back to 1996 that frustrated efforts to investigate the bin Laden family.

Rice Rice Baby: As if you aren't aware that I'm not even an American, I would like to point out that I'm here for viewing in general. From what I know, I read and trying to absorb the information as much as I can. I come to realize that American is no different than any other countries around the world. There are goods and there are bad in America. So you have to take everything in, the good with the bad. Not just only takes the good and complain endlessly about the bad on internet () And I am not shame to say that I would at any heartbeat that I go to America if there is opportunity for me. I know that a hard working woman like me can go for long in such the land of opportunities like that if I play my card right.

JUSTINappr0priateMan: lori I think what you are enemies with is greed and pride, both one in the same. In that case your enemy is human and you'd do your war effort a great favor by killing yourself.

lori100: America has great land, resources, some great people, and chances to succeed, but the govt has a different agenda......wars, to control the public through propaganda and entertainment while they line their pockets and destroy any nation that threatens their supremacy.......how many of you are aware 911 was an inside job to scare the public to get support for another war?

R0CHY: U.S. citizens have a damn right to criticize the government. That doesn't make them un-American, and that doesn't mean they should leave. Talk about read the constitution. Freedom of speech! The revolutionists specifically wanted that in there and placed it as the First Amendment for a reason.

Every time someone dislikes the opinion of how they feel about the U.S. they're all quick to say leave, instead of quick to say "explain why you feel it's wrong, and what would work better."

Many don't want to admit the U.S. has been a major crock of shit before as leader under the table controlling regime changes. Either way, lori is within her U.S. given Constitutional rights to disagree and criticize.

SWlNE: On a serious note. Reds, if that was planned wouldn't that be a sign of political genius? Dictatorship got it all wrong. The true way to create the least amount of objection and docility is through unquestioned patriotism.

R0CHY: That's a good point. I see the circle of what you're saying.

I mean, this country's constitution was created to protect the people from a tyrannical government which included our own we were building. Built patriotism as a means to grow support and a fierce lotalty to protect it by any means necessary including against their own public.

This is exactly what happened. This is exactly how the U.S. was able to violate the rights of others: Let's go in under the vice we're merely bringing better, and we are going to help create an establishment similar to the free rights we have, but in actuality we take over. How do we do this? By throwing patriotic words out that we're the best, we can fix it, and it's our God given duty as U.S. citizens to do so.

Those who took the words of freedom to do so were fucking geniuses. Lol

SWlNE: Yes, using the "we". Even persons outside the US rarely separate their criticisms/praise towards the actions of the citizens and the action/policies of the government. It is all merged into one 'we' or 'them'.
It's difficult to criticism oneself, now what if you view yourself as a 'we', it'd be difficult to criticise the group you view yourself in or a part of. So you have to be patriotic and stand as a 'we' or be isolated and get 'kicked out'.

Then again it's 1pm and I've not eaten anything. My mind talks nonsense when I'm hungry.

R0CHY: No, no. I agree! Lol

It's much more easier to agree with the masses for fear of being outcasted. I'd rather be an outcast and have my own views. I choose to use my constitutional rights accordingly, and if that equals criticism just the same, then so be it. At least I know what it means. Lol
