London Protests R E B E C C A: i think its great The more we see Capitalism introduced into this country the less rights we have duncan124: You Tubes selection changes very quickly and its view of the story has change to protesters outside Buckingham Palace-- a change from Parliament Square. In either selection there was no mention of the UKs Workfare- which is avoided by most media today. R E B E C C A: http://www.ukanonymousevents.com/ the only thing ive seen on our news is about the protests in brussels duncan124: Manchester is the home of the second Govt the US believes. It is well connected to Internet organisations ,'Urban' and more sinister orgs, that try to distort events. And where Wires thugs often get their ideas from. Londoners protesting about 'Crime and Corruption'...? They still seem to live quite well beside it. R E B E C C A: There are thugs in Wire ? I've only noticed the dead heads! So you mean Manchester in the US? The Fed? Over 90% of people living in London are immigrants today so its debatable as to how well they live there. But you need to understand that the British people and British government are nothing alike....British government is corrupt, always has been. If you consider the corruption they've imposed on other countries then u need to bare in mind that they don't have any more regard for their own working class....N that's how its always been...So, what choice do they have but to live alongside it? That's is why the thing of Isis beheading Brits makes no sense....the British government aren't ever gonna listen to that, because they don't care....If they really wanted to hurt British government then they would need to hit them were it hurts....in their pocket....like the IRA did. scrapping our human rights because of terrorists in other countries n they have passed a law here that internet trolls can be silenced by being thrown in jail duncan124: Historic figure associated with fireworks (on YouTube at least)? Ans; The big wheel in London-aka the ' London eye '. duncan124: The Bank of England has given a lot to its cronies and fiddled the taxes to suit their tastes, but apart from that they don't give anything away ever. The13th: Not sure what they are protesting but I really don't want to see the London riot that happened a few years back. The reasonably fine people of London does not deserve that. R E B E C C A: 400+ cities across the world protesting against austerity, mass surveillance and oppression of the poor....No doubt London's finest were there to give support. As for the renta mob mentality, if it wasn't for all the brave people who went protesting before us, women, gays, blacks wouldn't have an rights....you'd not even have the right to protest Outbackjack: The rent a mob is an absolute myth or I would be a very rich man.Too many people allow themselves to get brainwashed by these pathetic catchphrases the Murdoch media parrots ad nauseam. The13th: Contribute in terms of actual productive work to the society, the civilization, build something that benefit the people, build a business that provide jobs. Protester always seems to be the type that never build anything e.g. college guys. See those faces in honk Kong protest? And if you don't contribute, at least appreciate what other people build for you. instead of picking on it. The13th: And if you really see something that needs correction, you can ask for it nicely or form a workgroup. There are lits of sensible people out there that will give if you ask. There is no need for protest, revolution, etc. R E B E C C A: Honk Kong?!! "Protester always seems to be the type that never build anything e.g. college guys?" well students have protested here too....to have the right to an education. Education should not just be for the wealthy. I do contribute, n you don't make sense by saying "at least appreciate what other people build for you" what does this have to do with social inequality. R E B E C C A: Yeah ummm that's the trouble with social segregation....working class people don't get listened to or have rights. Working class families are being pushed out of London to make way for wealthy immigrants....British people don't want that....the British government is supposed to work for us ...not the other way around. Where are you from? The13th: Actually I avoid london for a long long time, I thought after 2 world wars, assorted issues like IRA, Falkland, the decline and losing control of the empire, terrorist attack, the pie keep getting smaller and smaller etc I thought the people might be harsh and bitter, but I finally spent a week 2 years back and I find that the common people on the street have not lost the essential goodness. Even colored, minority, lower class people tend to bring up their kids with well manner. These are fine people and they do not deserve that london riot. Any kind of protest, riot, is just silly and uncharacteristics. R E B E C C A: So who do you think is attending these peaceful protests? People shouldn't need to protest but they do.....because they care.....Yet you assume they re the trouble makers who don't contribute to society the same way you assumed the people might be harsh and bitter....As far as I'm aware "commoners" never felt the benefit of having an empire anyway. | Politics Chat Room 50 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
