Favorite President in The USA
RobStorm: status of US now shows Clinton, Bush the Shrub and Obama seem to be failures..Scorecard still out on Trump the Disruptor but.......will he be around in 2020 at end of term??
Proud Deplorable: Trump thus far is doing a good job in spite of all the Push back from the Dems and Deep State! Just think how much more he could be getting accomplished if he wasn't getting so much resistance! Trump may NOT be Politically Correct but he is Correct! MAGA
jims33123: President Trump is leading from the Front, as Obama who bragged he would lead from behind. Leading from behind failed.
RobStorm: hah....."leading from behind" brought us failed Libya and the red line whine of Syria that has left 500,000 dead Syrians and millions of Syrian refugees while the Monster Assad, backed by Iranians and Russia, still sits in power in damascus............puleeze
cpmxxv: That would be Ronald Reagan. Clinton was a womanizer and a rapist and link to over 98 murders. I think Obama did OK his first four years but the last four years we really saw what he was really about. And Trump I believe is molding himself around Ronald Reagan. So I believe Donald Trump would be number two
chronology: Abraham Lincoln. He really loved the folks of the South despite what people may say. He had the vision to see America as a United Country was destined for safety and prosperity in North America. North America with rival countries would be condemned to endless bloody wars like Europe. Americans often have no idea how much bloodshed Old Abe saved them. France lost more lives in one Battle (Ypes) than the United States lost in the entire Civil War 'and' WW2 put together. 900.000. French lives were lost. In WW2 entire cities were destroyed, Dresden, Hamburg, Berlin.
Thanks to the vision of 'Old Abe' Americans escaped all of that. No disrespect to the fine folks of Dixie.
alexgal9999999: Responsible for more
death than any other. President
Life long sufferer of manic depression...used platinum treatments...why his skin so damaged...
chronology: Alex, Abe tried to avoid war at all costs. But when the United States Fort at Sumpter was fired on with cannon fire it was then impossible to avoid bloodshed.
The secessionists must carry responsibilty for outbreak of war, the U.S. Government did not fire the first shots.
Mr Lincoln's personality must considered in the light of his childhood. He had hard scrabble for most of his younger years. At times going hungry, cold, one time he even had to care for his siblings for months on end completely alone.
'Old Abe' is one of the few world leaders we know of who was deeply moved by the war he was forced to take part in. He would spend hours in deep reflection about whether or not he did the right thing. That is sign of good character.
No way am I criticising Sir Winston Churchill but as one man said of Sir Winston 'he ordered the fire bombing and destruction of dozens of German cities and never once gave those orders a second thought. He was not like Abraham Lincoln who spent much of his time reflecting on the suffering of the people of the South' . Old Abe loved The South and wanted to save it, sad to say most world leaders just want to destroy their 'enemies' . The greatness of Lincoln is plain to see.
alexgal9999999: I dont find anything he did served anyone well
American butchery that must never be repeated and for what
chronology: For 'what' ? for the ideal that is 'America' , for the hope that all people have of living to higher standard in the world.
There was a slogan that began during the French Revolution, it went 'Liberty, Fraternity, Justice' , In practice that means 'Freedom' to live your life as much as a possible, there are limits, such things as Polygamy is still banned in the U.S. 'Fraternity' or inclusiveness in Government and Society with no group or class left out. This is a tough one, Americans still argue over what is a fair wage or rate of Tax. 'Justice' that all people have a opportunity to a fair Trial in Court.
For the last two hundred years Americans have led the world in all these hopes people have of living to a higher standard. Abe Lincoln had the imagination to carry America through the crisis of the Civil War. The world is run for the most part by Oligarchies and despots of one kind or another, always has been, always will be. But America is one spark of light on a very dark planet. Old Abe knew the South would soon be like any other country, the working man would as trodden down as the negro and the South would be ruled by Oligarchs like every other country. The Military of the South would be a constant threat to the Peace and Freedom of the United States.
America has always been 'the last and best hope of mankind' Old Abe could just not let the South stamp out the hopes of people everywhere.
briansmythe: Highest standard In the world they cant even provide free medical for there people , Some one listens to the Star spangled banner too much
briansmythe: Last hope of mankind , Your got to be Joking Massive Cival rights Protests , They Bring the national guard in , your living in La La land
kittybobo34: I think Reagan was the best in modern times, he was the right man for the time. Unfortunately in this age of Global Corporations his policies would not do well. Trump is trying to model himself after Reagan but I think it will backfire in the long run.
Trump is modeling only himself. Trump is Trump.
Just saw an article about Robert De Niro stating horrible comments about Trump.
I believe De Niro got into the part and stayed in the part he played as Travis Bickle, a Presidential assassin.
Hinckley had attempted to assassinate President Reagan to impress actress Jodie Foster, with whom he’d become obsessed after seeing the Robert de Niro film Taxi Driver.
De Niro is still playing the part in Taxi Driver....and is mentally ill because of it.
This is how assassinations are molded.
Do not be surprised the day that you hear De Niro actually tried to take Trump out, just like in the character he played.
