The latest poll shows that most Scots want to be free of England, who do you support. dave3974: Despite a hardly neutral press and a campaign that up till now was trying to threaten and frighten the Scots most would appaer to want to regain their independence , how should it end . ps iT PROVES WE ARE SUPERIOR TO THE UKRAINE , WE ARE OFFERING SCOTLAND A VOTE ON THE ISSUE ; NOT BOMBING THEM ghostgeek: I think an equitable seperation is possible. All business gravitates to England and what's left stays with Scotland. Us southerners should be quids in. Who could argue with that. chronology: dave, am staying out of this discussion, folks are crowding into Book Makers slapping down as much money as they can on who they think will win the vote. The actual issue of Scotland now means nothing, it is which way the odds are going at the 'Bookies'. There are enough problem gamblers around, after this orgy of gambling there will be even more. chronology: dave, just checked what gamblers are wagering, one Guy upped his bet yesterday from 1.000.000. dollars U.S. to 1.200.000 dollars U.S. that Scotland would vote no. He will get his money back plus 1.000.000. dollars if Scotland votes no. Other folks are also bumping up their bets confident of the correct outcome. Reminds me of when Mr Obama was running for election in 2008. Folks in England were crowding into Betting Shops speculating on the outcome. chronology: dave, just checked the Gambling Establishments odds for the U.S. 2016 elections, and they are viewing the Democrats as the most likely winners. ghostgeek: The best thing is to drink oneself silly so that by the time one comes round, hopefully, it'll all be over. I'm sick of it all. Tomacco: The tories are playing a clever game...they want the yes vote because without the 60 odd Scottish mps, Labour will never be able to get into power again! duncan124: I think the idea is that Scottish voters in England are being targeted to ensure they don't vote. If you are on the English register you might not be able to vote even if you are Scottish . chronology: dave, the latest odds at Bookmakers are still way in favour of a no vote. One National Bookmaker explained 'we are facing a six figure win if Scotland votes no and a seven figure losses if Scots vote yes. Polls say it is neck and neck, but we say it is overwhelmingly in favour of a no vote. Bookmakers have got it wrong on Political bets in the past, some Bookmakers gave odds of 100 to 1 that George Galloway would be beaten in Bradford but George won a land slide. If someone had bet 10 pounds, they would have got a thousand pound win. Right now, Bookmakers are convinced their money is safe, Scotland will vote no they say. duncan124: Obviously Whitehall is cheating. It cheated at each referendum before and there is no reason to think any differently now. In fact it ' cheated ' with violence every time before and got caught. When the Whitehall thugs were arrested before in Edinburgh the polls changed to an over whelming Independent vote. The intimidation had been working and anyone looking at this would ask;- ' Why did the Scottish ask and vote overwhelmingly for a referendum about independence if they were not going to then vote for independence?' When people first asked about Independence they were in turn asked on the official forms if they would vote for Independence. Whitehall then tried another trick and that was to say who could vote, those people being different from those asked the first time, and then and only then did Whitehall realise that the people it thought were on its side were overwhelmingly in favour of Independence. In fact the pro-unionists won a legal case showing that the forms used were very likely to promote a vote for Independence because of the wording. Today I would say Scotland was an Independent country in legal fact if not in political fact. dave3974: no idea what you have posted ghos , the site wants me to downlaod some dodgy software to view it ghostgeek: Really? Everything works just fine on my rig Dave. Still, if you're being asked to download software to view it, best play it safe and leave it alone. It's only a Simpsons clip. duncan124: Have you or anyone with your name on their computer got any convictions for petty crimes Dave? That is known to put a filter on your choices! duncan124: "Poles join Scots in independence vote" "30,000 Poles in Scotland are registered to vote during Thursday's independence referendum, with opinion polls showing 'Yes' and 'No' camps almost neck-and-neck in the final days of campaigning." - See more at: http://111.221.29.49/proxy.ashx?h=Y2q9JB7KTpwuB3PmpZW_cXuxBYfp5_-A&a=http%3A%2F%2Fthenews.pl%2F1%2F10%2FArtykul%2F181809%2CPoles-join-Scots-in-independence-vote#sthash.VDpVODVv.dpuf Poland sees the funny side. Tomacco: I can't wait for the victor to pat themselves on the back in that excruciating self aggrandising kind of way politicians are so good at!!
