Why can't Muslims Take Criticism? (Page 5)

ghostgeek: I would agree, though, that most Muslims seem decent enough, as individuals. No doubt the same could have been said of most Germans in Hitler's Germany. Individually OK, but together a force of malign evil.

ghostgeek: The question that has to be answered is this: Do you nip evil in the bud, or wait until until it has grown into a monster? Germany shows what can happen if one delays.

briansmythe: Muslims accept it alright I know the muslim community here backward ive watched it grow from nothing, Chronology of coarse they draw a sense of reassurance from there community ,So does the Asian community , But Muslims are different and Its all down to Allah the Koran and sharia,
When it all boils down to it as a whole they don't respect our laws, and the bigger the Muslim community grows the more they push for sharia, Its just how there religion is, there can be no other religion to muslims Allah made shore of that , does any other community want there own laws no there prepared to tow the line, Not Muslims there got to change the laws to suit them, and don't fool yourself they do it slowly, Ive watched it happen Ive worked with them, And Ive got to say I don't trust them , Why should I they don't trust me they made that clear

chronology: ghost, I don't know, I would hate to live in any country dominated by any religion. The Church of England leaves people alone to live any way they like, but in parts of Wales and Scotland there are 'grizzlies' who demand religious observance from people who are not even the same religion, and don't even mention southern Ireland.

In the United States Washington insists that all people be shown the same courtesy no matter who or what they are so long as they are Law abiding Citizens, but folks who live in catholic or Mormon or Baptist dominated districts say they are often discriminated against, but not in ways they can take to Court, and try being a Scientologist in some of those districts, or a Muslim.

They are just not as genteel or diffident as the Church of England.

You say it would be 'bad' if Muslims took over, probably, but outside the freedom of the balanced society even the world's freest country America can be 'uncomfortable' if not bad.

Even in California, of all States, Jewish people were discriminated against as late as the 1970s but not in an obvious way. Whenever a Jewish person tried to buy a home in one neighborhood amazingly the sale would fall through. Jewish folks proved using statistics it was impossible for such failures to buy homes by a particular religious group to fall through so often. Personally I would not live in a place people never wanted me to live, but I think the Jewish folks were just investing in Property or something.

So ghost, I reckon it is just a 'people' problem, not a 'Muslim' one.

ghostgeek: I live in a small town. All manner of people walk its streets, from all corners of the earth, yet only Muslims are taxi drivers. This has been the case these last few years, even though Muslims are not that prolific on the streets.

Something else I've noticed lately is the number of young Muslim women who are wearing the Hijab, the Muslim headscarf.

Methinks these are signs of raised Islamic consciousness; a trend away from integrating into the wider British society, and towards forming a seperate community within a community.

To me, that spells trouble ahead.

briansmythe: There got no Intension of integrating into society, Its going to end up a nation within a nation alright,
In Indonesia they don't wear burkas or hardly even headscarfs , but I suppose they don't have to make there presence known, More muslims there than any where else
All they want is Millions of dollars in aid money every year to keep the place stable, They already did the land grab on PNG ,

chronology: brian. America is probably the last place now in the world where the State allows free speech. If you would ever like to test this, and I am not recommending you to, then try debating a number of subjects in France, Germany, Holland or Italy or England. You will likely be arrested and detained for a day, or even months or years. Canada is also becoming a 'European' style 'throw em in jail' type of country. The Statue of Liberty stands alone now facing a very dark world when the sun sets in New York. But she still holds her lamp high and resistant.

chronology: Scientologists will disagree about all the 'freedom' they supposedly enjoy in Europe, in the U.S.A. you can follow any religion you like. In France and Germany Scientologists have been harassed by the Governments of those countries. Scientologists do not talk hate speech about anybody. People in jail in Germany are not in jail for any 'Hate Speech' they are in jail for questioning the circumstances of some historical incidents. In England a man posted comments on a web site like wire about a crime which he believed was completely fake. Hours after posting the comments the police raided his home, confiscated his computer and threw him in jail. Can you imagine that happening in any State of the Union. Congress would be shocked, and most Americans would be appalled. I believe the man was banned from using the Internet for a year or something. Even some Judges found that unreasonable.

No, America is the last free place on earth.

By the by, are you sure education is 'free' in Germany? As I understand it is subject to certain conditions such as agreeing to be subject to Draft for the Military, that and other conditions. I may be wrong there, but you have no Draft in the U.S. unlike most of Europe.

I K R: In case you hadn't noticed people in Europe have been murdered for insulting islam.....A german comedian was arrested for insulting Erdogan....at Erdogan's request . The EU government is doing all it can to shut down any anti islamic posts on twitter and facebook...There's been a few cases in the UK of people being arrested over anti islam/muslim posts.
N if you think its better in the US....it was the US President who said "the future must not belong to those who insult the prophet of islam" and no one batted an eyelid! It is the US President who refuses to use the word islam and terrorist in the same sentence....In theory you have the right to free speech in america....But if you dont use it...u loose it. There's no honest reporting in america....
free speech without the right to offend is not free speech.

wayne elliott: Re: the preceding video - I think Western society has a duty to question any ideology that undermines hard won freedoms. If the ideology cannot stand up to scrutiny,or won't stand for it, it has no place in an intelligent, informed country. The explosive reactions to such discussion/scrutiny by Muslims always reminds me of spoiled and dangerous children who do not get their way. One law for all, and all equal under that law.

ghostgeek: A secret high-level Metropolitan police report has concluded that Muslim officers are more likely to become corrupt than white officers because of their cultural and family backgrounds.

The document, which has been seen by the Guardian, has caused outrage among ethnic minorities within the force, who have labelled it racist and proof that there is a gulf in understanding between the police force and the wider Muslim community. The document was written as an attempt to investigate why complaints of misconduct and corruption against Asian officers are 10 times higher than against their white colleagues.

The main conclusions of the study, commissioned by the Directorate of Professional Standards and written by an Asian detective chief inspector, stated: "Asian officers and in particular Pakistani Muslim officers are under greater pressure from the family, the extended family ... and their community against that of their white colleagues to engage in activity that might lead to misconduct or criminality."

It recommended that Asian officers needed special anti-corruption training and is now being considered by a working party of senior staff.

ghostgeek: A judge decided last year's poll will be void and banned Lutfur Rahman from standing in an upcoming election.

Rahman, who became the UK's first Muslim mayor when elected in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in 2010, was ruled to have used "undue spiritual influence" to religiously blackmail the Bangladeshi community to vote for him

He was also found to have unfairly smeared his opponent in the election, Labour's John Biggs, a racist.

Judge Richard Mawrey, who also found Rahman had given money to Muslim groups to help secure re-election - even giving cash to those who had not applied for grants - said: "Mr Rahman will remark this decision is about racism and Islamophobia but this is nothing of the sort.

"He has carved a successful career of ignoring and flouting laws and silencing critics with claims of Islamophobia. But they have not been silenced and neither will this court.
