Why can't Muslims Take Criticism? (Page 171) Blackshoes: I'd like to say anything other than dead, is healthy. Yet we know that's not true Be safe Romans 8:31 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (Edited by Blackshoes) ghostgeek: Given the state of the world, we all have abide by social distancing rules. That means no sharing. Zanjan: I'll be visiting my brother. I'll knock on his window. He'll go to the door and open it. My gloved hands will hurl a plastic envelope at him from at least 10 ft. away. Naturally, he'll miss the catch and scamper after the envelope wherever the wind blows it. He watches football on TV a lot so he knows what to do - he won't stop until it's in his hands because it's full of cash. He promises to disinfect himself soon as he goes back inside. What's the problem? It's almost like being there. (Edited by Zanjan) ghostgeek: Are people still accepting cash in Canada? Here it's "Please pay by card," wherever you go. Fractured fairy tale: Watch out someone doesn't ring the Cops on you . They might mistake you as a Escapee lol Zanjan: Ghost, yes but since they dont have much experience with cash, they don't know how to count change back. They depend on the cash register to tell them what the change amount is. On the bright side, you don't see people writing cheques much anymore either. Most of us aren't walking around with a wireless card reader yet, so I guess cash still has its uses. My brother can't use readers or ABMs. (Edited by Zanjan) Zanjan: It's the way they use it - they have a change purse and count out 5 bucks in nickles - they need to sort the nickles from the dimes on the counter. Zanjan: In case anyone was wondering why Iran is the worst affected (other than China) by the Covid-19, it began with their supreme leader telling them (in February) it was a hoax. By the time he admitted people were dying from it, he blamed it on counter-revolutionaries, then on a plot by the USA. When the USA offered to send them medical PPE to fight Covid, the leader turned them down. They now have 4,232 dead. CBC news reported: https://www.cbc.ca/news/investigates/iran-coronavirus-response-conspiracy-theories-1.5506288 "To prevent the spread of the virus in that manner during the Persian New Year holiday, the government announced it was closing the [pilgrimage] sites. But local imams would have none of it, denouncing the government for insufficient religious devotion. In a video of a massive protest at one of the sites, an imam proclaimed, "Who cares which authority ordered what! Who cares about the world's health!" He went on to accuse international health officials of being "infidels, Jews!" The government broke up the protests and refused to open the sites." Pity. The government should have apologized to the Imams, telling them only they could be allowed to gather there..very close.... because only the Imams were worthy. (Edited by Zanjan) ghostgeek: And there was me thinking it was the good old US of A pushing past everyone else to claim the crown for coronavirus infections. 16,000 deaths and counting. Zanjan: Perspective, man. The population of Iran is 81 million; population of USA is 327 million. Iran is about the same size in area as the province of Quebec so they're squeezed in there pretty tight. Most deaths are concentrated in cities; and, in the USA, New York is the bad boy here. I corrected the death toll in Iran - it's 4,232 deaths as of yesterday. . USA is pushing 18,000 deaths at the same time. Canada has 531 deaths but, to be fair, it's population is only 37.5 million. Looks like there's some healthy competition going on, eh. (Edited by Zanjan) | Politics Chat Room 36 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
