ghostgeek: The Japanese don't have mass shootings, the last one was in 1938, but the United States does. The Japanese have next to no guns, the Unites States owns half the world's gun stock. What conclusion should we draw from this, other than the obvious one that guns kill? Perhaps that the Japanese have brains but Americans don't.

SWlNE: Your government will be brought up seeing that the topic is on gun violence. It will be an issue discussed by your government. Think before you type.

Know what is a bit annoying? That no one can have a discussion here, because one idiot will construct an entire argument before hearing the position of the other person.

You agree there is a problem with the gun violence in the US.
You either agree or disagree that changes need to be made to address the problem and then proceed with a discussion from there.

Simple.

ghostgeek: Yes, Japan certainly has crime and criminals. Also a fair few nutters. Even some guns. What it doesn't seem to have are the regular shooting sprees that the U.S. specialises in. Let's be honest, incidents like Roseburg are becoming a regular occurance in America. Maybe you Americans are happy with that situation Lori, quite content to trade your security for the freedom to carry arms. That, ultimately, is your choice to make.

lori100: Not happy with it, numb maybe......freedom (as much as we have) must be maintained, and the ability to protect against attacks or govt abuses.....and many if not most of the mass shootings have been created by the powers that want to scare the public and get them unarmed...mind controlled assassins are real...there is an agenda at work....if it doesn't work, they increase the amount of mass shootings....

Lioness55: Since Obama’s re-election to a second term in November 2012 – which itself was followed by the shooting of 26 people including 20 children at Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, just a few weeks later – there had been 993 mass shooting events in the United States . Thursday’s attack, at Umpqua community college in the town of Roseburg, was No 994. Almost 300 of them have occurred in 2o15.

davesdatahut: Liption, why do you draw conclusions about conclusions I have not drawn, oh great defender of freedom?
I was just taking note that this was a concealed carry case where concealed carry didn't work.
The bigger point is that that evil wackadoo bought 14 guns legally when he was a prime case for not being able to buy even one.

lori100: conspiracies are real....read and learn----10 Conspiracy Theories That Turned Out To Be True

theantimedia.org/10-conspiracy-theories-that-turned-out-to-be-true/ -------------Jfk----
"For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence--on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.

Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed."

Please proceed as you were. At least you provide entertainment for the rest of us.
