During a interview with United States Government Investigators in the 1970s Mr Marcello was asked under oath if he met Lee, he said he never met Lee. There is no proof at all they ever met. Mr Marcello was reputed to have ran crime schemes in New Orleans but had no influence in Dallas. Again, there is no evidence at all he was involved in any murder plot against Mr Kennedy. There is no evidence anyone was involved in plotting against Mr Kennedy. Lee Oswald was found guilty of the reported crime. Yes Dutz Murret, LHO’s uncle, worked for Marcello as a bookmaker under Sam Saia, a Marcello lieutenant. Another of Murret's associates, Nofio Pecora, was linked to Jack Ruby. According to a FBI informant in 1979 Marcello admitted having known both Murret and Lee Harvey Oswald. In a recent book I read on the JFK assassination it said that Frenchy Brouillette, the author of “Mr New Orleans”, saw LHO in Marcello’s office. Plus LHO had been seen in Jack Ruby’s club talking with Ruby. There appears to be enough evidence that Marcello and LHO knew each other. I believe I read somewhere where LHO ran numbers in New Orleans for his uncle so technically LHO worked for Marcello. Joe Civello was the head of the Dallas mob from 1956 to 1970 and was a lieutenant of Carlos Marcello during that time. Marcello controlled Dallas. I agree there is no known evidence that anyone plotted to kill JFK but there is enough evidence of mob characters saying they were going to do it or saying they did it.
