It surprises some here am sure, that in all your listing of the faults of Muslim countries, and you do in deed go in to surprising detail at times exposing the wrong doings of Islamic nations, you never referred to their harsh and very brutal treatment of homosexuals. You could not have failed to notice news reports of Gay people being lynched, beaten, imprisoned, ridiculed, driven out of their homes, publicly humiliated. You may have written something about this that we missed, but it would seem a strange omission from a list of faults you see in Muslims, that you go to so much trouble to present to the Wirecluub members.

Outback, as usual, you have no idea what you are talking about because many would consider as I do, your views are shaded with anti-Semitism. You obviously hate the idea that a country, especially the Jewish State of Israel has the right to exist and that it has the right to protect itself from foreign invasion. You completely discount and do not hold the Syrian government responsible for bussing in these people to storm the Israeli border fences. Luckily, only 20 of these invaders were killed and not hundreds as you seem to believe.

And yet, when I posted the information about the Palestinians that invaded an Israeli home and slit the throats of a family including the children that were sleeping a few months ago, you said nothing…you condemned no one and by not doing so, you agree with Hamas and Hezbollah and with their masters in Iran in the destruction and genocide of the Jewish people. Pure and simple.

Your response can start by you saying:

1) I believe Israel has the right to exist.

2) The Jewish State of Israel has the right to protect itelf from invaders and those that wish for the complete destruction of Israel.

Anything less, don't waste your time by responding.

Regarding your two questions…

For over a decade, the border with Syria has been very quiet and Israeli and Syrian forces have just looked through binoculars at each other.

In this situation, yes. Here’s why.

Just like a cop on the beat, the cop has the right to defend himself if he feels his life is in jeopardy, even by unarmed assailants. These thousands of people were bused to the border without any notice and who’s only goal was to enter Israel...illegally. What should the Israeli border military have done? There was never any indication that these border police should have “non-lethal” equipment as part of their equipment. Why should they have? It’s been a dozen years since a shot has been fired. Should the border guards have run away and let these protesters who were paid to storm the fences in to Israel? No.

It is widely known as fact that these people were warned numerous times to not storm the fences. Should the soldiers have used non-lethal force? Why should they have? Because they were unarmed?

There were thousands of these so called protesters against a very few Israeli military border guards and these border guards were protecting their own lives as well as Israeli non-combatants living in the area.

What would have happened if they had let these thousands of protesters enter? Too many scenarios to even mention.

These border guards did what they were supposed to do…protect themselves and Israeli’s. Period. They did not invite the situation…the situation was forced upon them.

The complete blame for the blood that was spilled that day is on the hands of the Syrian Government and no one else and for anyone to believe anything different is ignorant.

Whenever possible. After that situation occurred on the Syrian border with Israel, the Israeli military reassessed their rules of engagement regarding this type of situation and now have “non-lethal” and updated “lethal” rules of engagement.

Since this situation occurred, no other situations like this have occurred. Why? Because the Israeli’s are now ready to handle this issue if it occurs again.

1) Perhaps you should condemn Syria for putting its citizens in harm’s way knowing exactly how the Israeli’s were going to respond that day.

2) Perhaps you should condemn the Syrian government for using “lethal force” on its own citizens.

3) The Syrian Government has slaughtered thousands of its own people and your energy should be focused on the genocide that the Syrian regime is using on its own citizens instead of spending time trashing a country trying to defend itself from those who want the complete destruction and genocide of the Jewish people.

I don't see how acknowledging that the 'innocent' people you speak of are murdering Israelis who are defending themselves is changing the subject. What is your opinion on Palestinians blowing up teenagers at a night club? How about hijacking airliners; and killing only those passengers who are Jewish? How about slitting the throats of children while they sleep? Why will you condemn Israel for firing on protestors; yet not make word of these actions being wrong? Not so. The 'continuum of force' permits ONLY the level of force equivalent to that of the attacker can be used. Should an unarmed assailant attempt to strike me; I can legally strike him back and take control of the situation. Should he attempt to grab my neck; I am legally allowed to use level 3 force; meaning I can use defensive techniques to subdue him; up to and including certain submission manoeuvres (some choke holds etc.) For me to use level 4; deadly force; the assailant must have three things:
1. A weapon
2. Delivery system
3. Intent

The laws for us; and our police; are different than Israel. Whether Israel should be allowed to use such force is another topic. One must also consider the location; and the violent acts faced by them on a regular basis. More often than not; when a Palestinian terrorist attacks; he "appears" unarmed; even though he is not. You cannot see a bomb strapped inside a lose robe now can you?

…bottom line; if Syrian's and Palestinians don't want the IDF to shoot them; don't attack. If Syria and Palestine want to fight the IDF; then expect to get shot.
