How legal is it? Israel Killing a nations leader

slasian
slasian: The Whistle-blower on the death of Yasin Arafat, he was poisoned by radioactive element. Yesterday, Aljazeera revealed a documentary on the death of the former, well-known and the first president, the man who used to be an honest Palestine freedom fighter. It is a shame to see Israel (and probably USA too) killing an official leader of a nation.

This is murder. Arafat was a UN recognized leader of Palestinians he sits in the UN general Assembly representing his people, echoing their repressed voice. To kill a president in such a horrible method, to make him suffer what is it?

It is a shame to see Israel act like this after all the suffering her children faced in the ghettos of Europe for the past 500 hundred years. It’s a shame to see the rest world ignoring the suffering of the Palestinians. In the past almost the entire Europe used to torture, stigmatize and dehumanize the Jews now these nations are allied of the Jews in their continual tyranny over the Palestinians; the oppressed become oppressors and the oppressors become a charlatan human-right-watches those who think they define what freedom is. The Irony of humanity.

We all know how worthy is the blood of one Jew, how worthy is a Palestinian’s?

slasian: The Institute of Radiation Physics at Switzerland's University of Lausanne tested items belonging to Arafat at Aljazeera's request, including clothing which was handed to his widow Suha by the Paris military hospital where he died in November 2004 at the age of 75.

Suha Arafat gave Aljazeera permission to take the items, which contained strands of Arafat's hair and traces of sweat, urine and blood, for testing at several European laboratories, including the Swiss institute, which reported finding high levels of polonium.

Polonium, which is highly toxic, was used to kill Russian former spy turned Kremlin critic Alexander Litvinenko, who died in 2006 after drinking tea laced with the substance at a London restaurant.

I notice the Wiki page has been updated with July 2012 but I think the university of Lausanne was closed along time ago.

Also polonium is used as an example of creation because of the halo it creates in rocks.

slasian: Oh, how brilliant of you to remind me that the Jews are the brothers of the Palestinians and instead of changing 'their' leader (brotherhood) with a ballot box they murder him so that 'their' brothers could change a new and a 'better' leader.

What about the thing called majority (people) loved Arafat and had choose him to be their leader. Huh, to kill a leader this is the lamest excuse (he was killed by his own people discreetly, haha no apprising at all!

Slasian,

If the Israeli's had helped Arafat along, you'd never know it. You think they are stupid? You make me laugh.

Everyone knows that the Palestinians murdered Arafat because he stole MILLIONS of dollars that was earmarked for the people. What do you think Ms. Arafat and the family has been living on for the last decade? Their good looks?

dave3974: The news story below may shed light on why his own people may have removed arafat.
RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) — The Palestinian anti-corruption court on Thursday convicted the fugitive moneyman of the late leader Yasser Arafat of siphoning off millions of dollars in public funds, sentencing him to 15 years in prison.

The court, concluding its highest-profile probe, found Mohammed Rashid guilty of embezzlement and money laundering. In addition to the prison sentence, he was also fined $15 million and his properties were ordered confiscated.

He and two associates were convicted of taking a total of $33.5 million from the foreign donor-financed Palestinian Investment Fund.

Rashid, who in the past has denied wrongdoing, was sentenced in absentia by the court in the West Bank city of Ramallah. He left the Palestinian territories after Arafat's death in November 2004 and has rarely been seen since. He is said to hold business interests in four Middle Eastern countries and Montenegro.

The Palestinian Authority has asked those countries to freeze his assets and extradite him. "Without doubt the money of the Palestinian people will return to the people, sooner or later," promised Rafik Natche, head of the Palestinian anti-corruption commission, after the conviction.

Anti-corruption campaigners lauded the case as a sign of the maturing of the Palestinian political system, although the probe also appeared to be tinged with political intrigue. Rashid made veiled threats several months ago to disclose purported secrets about the rise to power of Arafat's successor, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

Palestinian watchdogs, while praising growing government vigilance about corruption, expressed concern that investigations are at times being used selectively to settle personal scores.

It is not clear why Arafat put the shadowy Rashid, a former journalist with no business training, in charge of most of his finances

slasian: Nice try davi, but Arafat was more of a liberator to his people, he was not accused while he was alive by his people. He, as any politician is, could be corrupted
(like Berlosconi or Bush), and even if it is true people had never poison their leader in the past, they will just rebel! It is a murder one of Mosad's and probably aided by CIA.

Huh, it is really funny, to even think that the Palestinians, while Arafat was alive loyal to him, are now accused of killing him, oh by the way to use a radioactive poison is also convincing enough, yeah his own people choose to kill him discreetly!

XWhiteandBlue: Slasian; its Al-Jazeera; Not "Aljezira" and that Qatar based "news" agency... is more political propaganda/commentary than news. Also, polonium piosoning is the russian KGB's method, highly doubt the Israelis would use it, ESPECIALLY on Arafat, since taking him out of the picture only served to de-stabilize the region, which runs against Israels best interests (rather deal with the devil you know... than the one you've yet to meet) Your argument does not pass the logic muster.

duncan124:
The Russians have denied that they use polonium and there is no evidence to support the claim that they killed that 'spy' with it.There is some evidence to show he was anti-Catholic and connected with the people who had tried to kill the Pope.

Polonium is naturally found in Palestine. Arafat was 'immune' to it being a Palestinian, due to a deformity, his brother was slightly different and said it made his feet swell up.

Polonium leaves the body very quickly but cause a chemical reaction which causes the intestine to twist and wrap up like the twist at the end of a sausage but all its length.

Another thing you need to remember is the English Aljezira was founded by Americans on purpose because the Arabic one was giving the best to people who are interested in the truth.

Barbie, It's not a big deal for Israeli leaders to kill with out court procedure.

Most radiation stick inside of you Polonium passes through you. Prolonged exposure, which is very little exposure will cause death.

Most Palistinians don,t ingest the dust. An example of natural selection.

"Duncan, Uranium is naturally found in Russia but no one is Immune to it." does'n,t make sence? Why did you say that except as a threat?

Are you saying youhave n,t thought about why Polonium was used and how it worked??
