CourtGesture: Well, the good news is, if you think of things historically, it's still getting better all of the time. Lets face it, large-scale, conventional warfare is out-dated. Insurgencies are what the United States and it's allies must deal with now. That being said, the death count is much lower on the battlefield these days then it used to be. Remain optimistic, history marches on, human evolution is not yet complete (I'm referencing societal evolution here, biology is another debate for another arena). LOL. Anyways, we now live in a global society that is more connected then ever before. We rely on each other across all political boundaries. With improved tactics, diplomacy and technology, the death count will continue to drop over the coming years and decades. Perhaps not in your time, but possibly in your children's time, if YOU work for it, war in all it's forms will become passe.



Now, let's get together and feel alright.

But, it ain't gonna happen overnight.

CourtGesture: Pessimism creates the pessimistic conditions that is the fertile ground that gives birth to war. This is something akin to a "self-fulfilling prophecy".

Art0fliving: I have a great idea....the next time some country needs to be bailed out of some problem they have put themselves into, the United States should say HELL NO....go fix your own problems....
when there is a problem in the world, The U.N. wants America to give more than anyone else, to supply more troops in dangerous situations, and to let America take it in the shorts every time....I think America should just stay the hell out of all the problems across the world and let you all ROT in your own messed up misery.....
