Lets face it, large-scale, conventional warfare is out-dated. Insurgencies are what the United States and it's allies must deal with now. That being said, the death count is much lower on the battlefield these days then it used to be. Remain optimistic, history marches on, human evolution is not yet complete (I'm referencing societal evolution here, biology is another debate for another arena). LOL. Anyways, we now live in a global society that is more connected then ever before. We rely on each other across all political boundaries. With improved tactics, diplomacy and technology, the death count will continue to drop over the coming years and decades. Perhaps not in your time, but possibly in your children's time, if YOU work for it, war in all it's forms will become passe. Now, let's get together and feel alright. But, it ain't gonna happen overnight. CourtGesture: Pessimism creates the pessimistic conditions that is the fertile ground that gives birth to war. This is something akin to a "self-fulfilling prophecy".
