Outbackjack: Its the worlds biggest swindle and you have all been conned!

In the U.S the Republicans have used their numbers to force an extension of tax cuts that benefit only the richest 2% of the population there. The only concession Obama could get is that it would be extended to middle income earners. It is estimated that the tax cuts will cost around $700 billion.

This is all despite a $13 trillion dollar debt that the U.S owes.

Obama has recently announced huge welfare cuts and state authorities are cutting back on education.

The Republicans whilst smugly giving their rich mates more money(how much money do they need!)have signalled that they will do all they can to stop the poorest section of the population accessing health care.

I am sure the Donald Trumps of the world will be wondering if they need another private jet whilst the poor die in the gutters after being rejected health care.

In the U.K the Thatcherite Coalition government under Cameron has announced huge cuts to welfare and education.A million jobs are expected to be lost through a knock on effect of a loss of public service jobs.

University students are expected to stump up three times as much for their education.Any wonder they are rioting in the streets.

In Dublin the Irish government announced cuts to welfare that will see pensioners and single mothers thrown on struggle street. As if it isnt hard enough for them to survive on a pittance!

All across the Europe the same thing is happening.

The Fatcats who created this crisis, instead of being jailed, are actually being rewarded.

WHY?

Because the governments of the world are ruled by the Super rich and they know that most of you will sit passively back and literally take it!!!!!!!!

David said: Perhaps that’s why the American public came out and voted to remove the Democrats from office not only in the Congress but also in the statehouses. Close to 700 democrats were voted out of state government jobs because of the poor work they did over the last 2 years not only their state debt like in California but also increasing the national debt by $4 trillion dollars. Unemployment went up significantly and held over 9% for the entire time the dems were in power, and specifically states run by democrats…up to 18.5% unemployment. The tax cuts you speak about will not cost $700 billion. They will not cost a single dime. It’s amazing that the democrats in the lame duck session in the US are still not listening to the reasons that the American public who voted them out of power last month.

You keep attacking successful countries because of the hard working citizens. Why do you think millions want to immigrate to the United States so as to better their lives and their children’s lives? Why not attack China where over 300 million live without running water or electricity which is equal to the entire population of the United States. Why not attack the countries in Sub-Sahara where hundreds of millions live in poverty because of their corrupt governments.

Those who attack the successful countries are not paying enough attention to the countries which take advantage of the folks they are supposed to represent. Without successful countries, the anarchy that will ensue will turn this planet into the anarchy many want to see happen. Do you want to see anarchy run rampant? I didn’t think so.

Here are the facts…

From the United States Office of Tax Analysis and the United States Treasury Department…

Under the U.S. income tax system, the taxes collected are paid by the people who make the most money. That is exactly the way the system works, says the U.S. Treasury Department.

According to the United States Office of Tax Analysis, the U.S. individual income tax is "highly progressive," with a small group of higher-income taxpayers paying most of the individual income taxes each year.

• Taxpayers who rank in the top 50 percent of taxpayers by income pay virtually all individual income taxes.

• In all years since 1990, taxpayers in this group have paid over 94 percent of all individual income taxes. In 2000, 2001, and 2002, this group paid over 96 percent of the total.

• Treasury Department analysts credit President Bush's tax cuts with shifting a larger share of the individual income taxes paid to higher income taxpayers.

• In 2005, says the Treasury, when most of the tax cut provisions are fully in effect (e.g., lower tax rates, the $1,000 child credit, marriage penalty relief), the projected tax share for lower-income taxpayers will fall, while the tax share for higher-income taxpayers will rise.

• The share of taxes paid by the bottom 50 percent of taxpayers will fall from 4.1 percent to 3.6 percent.

• The share of taxes paid by the top 1 percent of taxpayers will rise from 32.3 percent to 33.7 percent.

• The average tax rate for the bottom 50 percent of taxpayers falls by 27 percent as compared to a 13 percent decline for taxpayers in the top 1 percent.

http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/incometaxandtheirs/a/whopaysmost.htm

So next time someone tells you, “… The lower and middle income pay more in taxes and receive less. The rich pay less and receive more” you can tell them they are not fully in command of the facts.

Malobear: Anger of House Democrats boils over
POLITICO-House Democrats railed against President Barack Obama's tax cut deal with congressional Republicans in a closed-door caucus meeting Tuesday night, even as there were signs that the White House could pick up enough support for the package to win enactment.
Speaker after speaker expressed frustration at the president's acquiescence to Republican demands for a multi-year freeze on the rates for top income in exchange for an extension of unemployment insurance and a basket of Democratic-favored tax breaks, according to several Democratic sources.
"Our guys got taken to the cleaners," Maryland Rep. Chris Van Hollen said of the White House's handling of a provision on the estate tax as he presented the plan to the caucus, according to sources who were in the room. Van Hollen was the House Democrats' negotiator in six-party talks involving two administration officials and a lawmkaer from each party in each chamber that produced the sidebar pact between the White House and the GOP.
"I disagree that we didn't get anything," Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-N.Y.) deadpanned to his colleagues. "We got screwed."
The anger Democrats telegraphed in public comments Monday turned quickly into an escalating gripe session Tuesday night, according to those present. Those who spoke in favor of the plan were greeted with silence; those opposed received lusty ovations.
The White House, which was represented by legislative aides at the meeting, plans to dispatch Vice President Joe Biden to Capitol Hill on Wednesday to work on soothing tensions.
A tempestuous caucus meeting won't necessarily translate into defeat of the president's proposal. The question in the minds of many Democrats is whether Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) will put the plan to a vote. Republicans say they will provide near-uniform support for it, meaning only a small share of House Democrats — probably fewer than four dozen — could put it over the top.
For all the histrionics — and House leaders' careful avoidance of endorsing the plan — the president has pockets of support from those who fear their constituents would be harmed by a failure to act before Republicans take control of the House in January.
Rep. Shelley Berkley, a Nevada Democrat, said the unemployment benefits and tax breaks for families are vital to folks in Las Vegas, where the unemployment rate exceeds 14 percent.
"I am not about to play a game of chicken with my constituents' lives, hoping Republicans are going to blink in January," Berkley said after the caucus meeting.
She got such a cold reception from colleagues that Reps. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-Md.) offered words of consolation after the meeting and Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) put his arm around her.
Rep. Brad Sherman, a California Democrat, said that he can vote for the proposal if there's an adjustment to the estate tax cut. Sherman, a former estate tax accountant, said he wants the new rate of 35 percent applied retroactively to this year in addition to 2011 and 2012. The plan calls for an exemption from the tax on the first $5 million of wealth.
Because Congress let the estate tax expire, there is currently no rate in place for this year.
Sherman argued that responsible estate tax planners have told the descendants of wealthy individuals to hold back cash to pay the tax in the event of a retroactive reinstatement.

Malobear: He said that tweak would secure his vote, as he fears a worse deal is on the horizon for Democrats if they don't act before January.
"Under Pelosi, we could pass a deal that's a little better, and the Senate will tolerate it and the president will sign it," he said.
Whether House and Senate Republicans would actually swallow such a change is questionable, at best, and it's not clear that the White House is ready to re-open its pact.
Right now, the dynamics in the Democratic Caucus are a dangerous mix for the president as he seeks to consummate his first bipartisan act following a disastrous midterm election for his party: As a whole, Democrats are frustrated not just at the product but at a diminishing role in the legislative process that only promises to shrink more in the new Congress.
"It's hard to walk away from the table when you aren't at the table," Ackerman quipped.
When it comes to American politics, anytime you see the two parties ever agree on something, the american people get screwed.

David responds: Research is something you should practice and not preach. Your anti-capitalist rhetoric is very pronounced. For example, you mentioned the SDP which I assume you support since it is anti-capitalist and anti-free market. Then you are well versed with their goals.

Researching from their web-site, the SDP professes,”…build a mass revolutionary [violent]socialist party that is capable of organizing the working class to bring into being a socialist society through replacing the political rule of the capitalist class with a working people’s government. In other words…communism.

Here are some other “quotes” from this group:

What signs are we seeing of resistance and a concerted fight back among the labor movements of the First World?

It is realistic to say that this has been limited so far. But this is a slow burn situation. The resistance [violence] will no doubt build as the true implications of the depth of the crisis are revealed over time.

What is the state of resistance [violence] to imperialist attacks on an international scale?

While the political resistance is led by the struggles in Latin America, and elsewhere in the Third World, we are starting to see signs of a fight back by sectors of the working class in the First World.
In Europe and the US, there has been a limited mobilization of the labor movement and other sectors in the face of the financial-economic crisis. Signs of militant struggles have appeared in factory occupations in Britain and Ireland, and popular mobilizations in France and elsewhere.

In summary, a realistic framework for viewing the options flowing from these multiple crises of capitalism is provided by the Argentinean Marxist Claudio Katz, in an interview given in July this year.
The exit from the systemic crisis of capitalism needs to be political and “a socialist project can mature in this turbulence,” Katz stated.

Because everyone knows, you don’t raise taxes on anyone during a recession…that’s just Economics 101.

Regarding “Unfunded liabilities”, if you had done any research on this you would have found the following:

The US government has made promises to pay monies today and in the future to it's citizens. We are talking about Social Security and Medicare. The government raises funds for these expenditures from various taxes and then uses the money to fund the program. These programs are considered unfunded liabilities because, projecting out in the future, the revenues from the taxes will not be able to fund the projected expenditures. The numbers are actually quite staggering.

The Social Security unfunded liability is projected to be 17.5 trillion dollars.

The Medicare unfunded liability is actually projected to be much higher. Medicare actually has parts A, B, and D, Part A funds hospital care. Part B funds Medical visits, and part D funds prescription drugs.

The part A unfunded liability is estimated at 36 trillion dollars, part B at 37 trillion dollars, and part D at 15 trillion dollars.

The total amount of the unfunded liability comes out to just over 100 trillion dollars, or approximately $33, 000 for every man, woman, and child in the country. The private net worth of all Americans together is estimated at just over $50 trillion dollars by the Federal Reserve, creating a huge deficit issue.

I've tried to explain this before but it just may be to complicated for you and Chrono to understand.

What is the difference between communism and socialism?
Contributor - Y**** Answers.com

It really is not much different. If socialism is a toddler, communism is a fully matured adult. I grew up in United SOCIALIST Soviet Republic and have studied and personally experienced communist ideology. I have capitalized socialist to clarify that it is simply another name for communist ideology. Socialist agenda seeks a government monopoly over all your freedoms via the disguise of being "caring" and "benevolent". Communist Manifesto is adamant about absolute necessity of socialistic programs and agendas as the foundation upon which a totalitarian government of sheer regulation and tyranny must be built, namely Communism.

David responds: Since you posted the Wiki website for Social Democracy, the following are interesting ideas and passages this article documents....As you said, it is very basic stuff and your average Year 12 student would understand the meaning of it.

• Practical modern social democratic policies include the promotion of a welfare state.

• Historically, social democracy is a form of evolutionary reformist socialism that advocated the establishment of a socialist economy through class struggle.

• The contemporary social democratic movement came into being through a break within the socialist movement in the early years of the twentieth century. Speaking broadly, this break can be described as a parting of ways between those who insisted upon political revolution as a precondition for the achievement of...

“...socialist goals and those who maintained that a gradual or evolutionary path to socialism is both possible and desirable”.

• Social democratic political parties, which sometimes also include a democratic socialist element, operate in many developed and developing countries, including France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, and Brazil.

• Most European social democratic parties are members of the Party of European Socialists which is one of the main political parties at the European level and its parliamentary group the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats.

• Globally, most social democratic parties worldwide are members of the Socialist International

Policies and Practices by social democratic parties
• Nationalization
• Welfare state

Names used by social democratic parties
• New Democratic Party
• Socialist Party
• Social Democratic Party
• Democratic Socialist Party
• Labour Party
• Social Democratic Union\
• Socialist International
• International Union of Socialist Youth
• Party of European Socialists
• Young European Socialists
• International Trade
• Union Confederation

And as you said to me, “… It is very basic stuff and your average Year 12 student would understand the meaning of it.”
