+ Israel strikes Gaza.

Let's just remember this...

In 2005, Israel COMPLETELY evacuates Gaza and the Palestinian Authority takes control. Two years later, 2007 Hamas, the terror child of the Muslim Brotherhood, murders dozens of Palestinians who were representing the Palestinian Authority and take over Gaza.

Israel evacuated the Gaza to trade land for peace. So, Hamas says "FU*K YOU JEWS!" "WE KILL YOU!" and fires thousands of rockets mostly supplied by Iranski's into Israel every day, every week, every month, every year since Israel left the Gaza trying to promote peace.

So...here we have, Hamas and a number of other internationally agreed terror organizations, trying to murder Jews.

Now, we have the terror child Hamas firing rockets into Israel once more and this time, the Muslim Brotherhood President of Egypt is not happy that Israel is defending herself.

Awwwwwwww.....

Seriously. More Palestinian blood will flow because of Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood and people blame Israel for defending herself.

Pretty frickin sick if you ask me.

Comrade_: Who are you speaking to Davidk, you seem very comfortable making up arguments and discussing it with yourself...around my parts we call that 'madness'.

I wouldn't even bother going through your rant and pressing it with facts, I think that you and I both know that the situation is not as clear cut as you aim to present it.

davidk14: Jack,

I was speaking directly at you and those like you that want to see the destruction of the Jewish people and the Jewish State of Israel. You either stand with Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran....or with Israel. Simple as that. There is no ground in between. There is no grey areas. The information I posted above is truthful and factual. If you do not believe it, then you are ignorant, nothing more, nothing less. And if you believe that they trust Obama....you are completely ignorant. They trusted once, never again. Israel will defend herself no matter what.

Couldnt be that there is an election due next year?

The same thing happened in 2008.

They, Israel abandoned the Gaza in 2005 to the Palestinian Authority. Since then, nothing but attacks from Hamas and friends. And you frickin blame Israel for defending herself?

Nice Jack. Hope Australia never gets attacked. You'd be on the side of the aggressor.

Davidk are you insane or dumb? Honestly, because nothing I've stated relates to what you are saying. This weak tactic of starting an imagined argument and slandering someone else to have your say, has to stop. And unless you can show where I've hinted anything on wanting the destruction of some "Jewish people", then it stands as slander and I'd hope the conversation here is being monitored.

There's a serious situation happening there. I commented on this thread instead of making a new one in order to update the events. If you don't like it, go whine somewhere else so people who know about the situation and want to express the events can in peace.

If you want to; throw in anti-Semitic cards because someone is stating facts on what is happening and on both sides, or dumb-down the situation or even better use more fallacies to hide your ignorance, do it on your own time ey.

ah I'm not surprised, would've thought a man at your age would have some common sense.

Comrade_: And btw, Israel isn't a woman, it is not a 'herself', it is 'itself' and neither does it consist of only 'Jews', when speaking of Israel we're not paying attention to any religion but rather a country/area (and this goes for the whole situation, including Palestine).
Do you understand? Keep your "appeal to pity" and try as hard as you can to stick to the events that are happening and what a person post.
Is this too difficult for you to handle, Davidk? To control yourself...

lavendar_star: I think the title of this thread is so on point. For me I dont take sides I see failings in both Israel and Palestine in relation to each other. I think people support either country seem to take a black and white approach to it and see their sides as the victims and without blame. It may sound corny but my heart goes out to the innocent children on both sides who I value equally and the lost civilian lives.

Sarcastic Dots: It's good to know that the IDF and Hamas' idea of diplomacy is acting like pre-teen girls on twitter. Quite frankly, for nations that enjoy sabre rattling and suckling at the teat of their allies, I can't say I'm surprised by their prepubescent internet war.

GeraldTheGnome: Sarcastic....if someone tries to kill people randomly for no reason is everyone then just expected to shout out, "Now don't do that again !", then leave it at that ? No, someone (well at least one) understandably won't put up with that. It isn't the internet, it's real and we aren't there copping it, unfortunately the innocent people will accidentally get killed in the crossfire on all sides and Hamas isn't made up of a group of 'good people' either, already, just like always with any forum that brings up the Middle East, I can see people unfairly taking sides with a very one eyed approach.

The teat bit, sabre rattling etc are just some examples of unneeded emotive words. It's a never ending conflict and the bulk of people on this site that always join these stories about the Middle East never agree so let's end what will otherwise be another never ending babble about areas of the world where some people fight with their own shadows if given the chance. Very much like most that join these forums. Another reason why this is not a forum worth responding to is because Palestine is only a name at the moment, it is not a country, there's Palestinian areas and Israel, not Israel and Palestine. Good day, goodbye, let's all be wise and stay away from this forum as I will.

hmm why though? I think there are a few who can discuss the topic without having to get emotional.
And I thought the twitter responses were something to note too. Shows how things are changing. Enemies addressing each other on social networking sites while the reality is still grim on the ground...in a perfect world they'll fight it out online.

Gaza crisis: Egyptians back under-fire Palestinians
-"Egyptian leaders have promised to support Gaza against Israeli attacks, as violence escalated for a third day.

President Mohammed Mursi said he would not leave Gaza on its own and condemned Israel's "blatant aggression", hours after his prime minister visited Gaza.

Israel mounted a huge attack overnight, targeting dozens of locations. Later, Gaza militants targeted Tel Aviv with a missile but there were no casualties."

-Ties between Hamas and Egypt have strengthened since Mr Mursi's election earlier this year.

Hamas was formed as an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood, to which Mr Mursi belongs

-Analysts say it is the first time Gaza militants have deployed such powerful missiles.

Western leaders have appealed for both sides to stop the escalation in violence.

Britain and Germany both said Hamas bears the brunt of the blame and should stop firing rockets immediately.

This is a good read too:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-20338002

Of the people themselves sharing experiences on what is happening.

The Vietnam war was one of the first media wars, now we have social networking sites as twitter that also brings these issues to the forefront and portray conflicts in another light.. from a civilian point of view too. Just my opinion, guess time will say how it'd go and how we'd adapt to these things.

Are you aware of the countless sectarian deaths on both sides since the so-called GFA in 1998, constant harassment of Republicans and their families, internment by remand, nationalist being assaulted by loyalist and being ignored by the so-called peace keeping force the PSNI (RUC), the sectarian triumphalist OO marches shoving their "culture" down the throats of nationalist who just want to get on with their lives.

This is just one of thousands of incidents that occur on a daily basis! It just goes to show how much your are out of touch from reality.

Norma955: Israeli Interior Minister Eli Yishai, in a moment of disturbing candor, revealed what is for many in Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s government the ultimate goal of its escalating military campaign on Gaza:

“The goal of the operation is to send Gaza back to the Middle Ages. Only then will Israel be calm for forty years.”

Now His statement reveals an essential truth few Israeli leaders dare to articulate. And that truth is this: the current military throttling of Gaza has less to do with security and more to do with destabilizing Gaza as much as possible

NORMA....DON'T YOU GET IT YET??????????

ISRAEL WILL DEFEND HERSELF FROM THE TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS HAMAS AND HEZBOLLAH WHO HAVE PUBLICLY STATED DOZENS OF TIMES THEIR GOALS TO MURDER JEWS AND DESTROY ISRAEL.

ANY CHILDREN KILLED ON EITHER SIDE, ANY MEN OR WOMEN KILLED ON EITHER SIDE IS DUE TO HAMAS AND HEZBOLLAH ATTACKING ISRAEL.

IF IT TAKES SENDING GAZA BACK TO THE MIDDLE AGES TO STOP HAMAS FROM MURDERING JEWS, IT IS NOT ISRAEL'S FAULT.

STOP BOMBING ISRAEL!!!
