Lady In Red

daisiesnfld: Lady In Red
.
Dressed in red and black she strutted
Up and down the garden rows
And sat upon the porch railing
Where the potted plants grow
.
She often lay beneath the trellis
Among the fallen roses there
And took lazy afternoon naps
In the calico covered chairs
.
But if she could, into the woods
She wandered there to seek
The tiniest little treasures
She could carry home and keep
.
Then home again, the Lady in red
Would rest her dainty feet
While perching on the back door step
To dine on her tasty treat
.
Admired by all but loved by few
Held close but never hugged
The lady in red turns many a head
But no one wants a Lady Bug
.

eyeofthetiger2u7: Such a cleverly written piece of Poetry Daisie ! I love the twist you include in some of your Poems. As I read this at first I did not realize it was about a Lady Bug!
