Peace for Perilous Times daisiesnfld: Peace for Perilous Times . The air lay warm and humid Dense it clung to walls and floor Arid odor of mildew and mold Blackened window sills and doors . Throughout the house in chaos The unwashed dishes and unmade beds Gave homage to the lonely Too frightened to raise their heads . Yet hope flooded all the window panes Its color brushed the gazing flowers And beckoned to the lonely "Behold, God and His power!" . He gave assurance to the sparrow Sent the morning's early dew Filled with blessings and His promises No less, for me and you . "Be ye not anxious or to worry I am with you night and day Never will I ever leave you I am the light and way" . Love then filled this humble dwelling Shining bright in every place Inspiration and encouragement Now comforted by His grace . Arise to meet the challenge Turn back on doubt and fear that's brought You closer to our blessed Saviour And all the peace you have sought .
