Colors

daisiesnfld: Colors
.
With skin and eyes as black as ebony
Red blood the same as mine
Hearts beat love in every color
Regardless of the bloodline
.
Slanted eyes deep set or drooping
Sculptured lips, thin, narrowed, pursed
We are each of us still sharing
Every corner of God's universe
.
Scattered in every neighborhood
Are those living right next door
Faceless, nameless people still
While most are simply just ignored
.
Yet military worthy just the same
War is never known to discriminate
It's only that in seeing color
That we find prejudice and hate
.
Yet God in creating His masterpiece
Used colors from His great palette
When He dispersed upon the universe
And spread us all over the planet
.
No single race put in charge to judge
To ridicule or to discriminate
But that we're akin beneath the sin
For He maketh no mistake
.
