There was a time for seasons
And we reveled in the spring
It mattered not the reason
Why the birds begin to sing

We took everything for granted
While the sun still shone so bright
Never did it ever seem a day
When all of life wasn't right

Yet yesteryear is no longer here
The skies have turned to gray
There is no rainbow anymore
For rain is here to stay

Without a reason for the season
The birds no longer sing their song
There is no sun, the world is void
And yesteryear is gone
