Why? WHlSKY: Of the 5 Q & 1 H (who, what, where, when, why & how) which is most important? Which do you use often to process/ gather information? It’s ‘why’ for me. A ‘why’ guy living in a ‘what’ world. Serpentine__: 'Why' is a useful way to gather information..although I think sometimes 'how' can explain why in due course I'm going for 'how' WHlSKY: Haa ✋🏻you’re crazy and not even in a cute way. In an annoying stop-burning-crosses-on-my-lawn way. WHlSKY: One minute you say I worship minorities, the next I’m prejudice. Pick a crazy talking point and commit. WHlSKY: That made no sense. Stop sniffing the cat litter. You just want an excuse to have a chat with me. All you had to say was ‘hi, Jack, how was your day’. But you have to go the unhinged way and spam me from forum to forum. WHlSKY: I delete your posts only. I want you to get the hint that I don’t want to see you. I also straight forwardly told you I’m not interested in what you have to say to me. theHating: Some people say, "ask 'why not'" when you ask why. Sounds like nonsense to me either way. solittle: Between What Where When Who Why and How, I think the most "important" is 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵. I think it's most important to be able to tell what's what. Who, Where, and When are all just particulars. They will constantly vary depending on situations. How can be interesting or intriguing, and Why also engages us to try to sort things out. But if you don't first and foremost have the ability to distinguish between Whats, then all your Hows and Whys are pretty useless mental fidgeting, which may make you feel clever when in fact you're rather clueless. Who put this rose here? How did it get here? Why did they put it there, how long ago did they put it there and where did they get it? All those questions are rather hollow if you don't first of all know 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 a rose is. Who killed Mr. Smith? How did they kill him? Why did they want to kill him, how long has he been dead, and where is the killer now? Those questions are all incidentals, but if you aren't able in the first place to recognize that Mr. Smith is in fact dead, it's pointless to worry about the Who, How, Why, Where and When of Snith's murder. | Philosophy Chat Room 9 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
