smilingkiss: if you going to talk about the mind we need to use science to base the truth ... now it functions and it's a fact or else ......all is presuming and then there is nothing to talk about

Zanjan: Yes, it's wrong to tell a lie. ANY lie, including deception.
How have we established this is fact? What adult doesn't intuit/understand this?

Let science find the physical defect in the head of the liar to prove this truth. Then let it stand that all liars have this same physical brain defect. Furthermore, let science prescribe effective remedial applications to alleviate or prevent the adult from future lying.

Perhaps that's a tall and rather costly order. Let's start with the appetizer.

Zanjan: To wit: An MRI will show the brain of a psychopath is abnormal. Blind studies were performed to illustrate what parts of the brain aren't functioning; these can indicate the seriousness of the psychopath's condition.

A portion of the specimens used were from incarcerated, criminal psychopaths. The case with the worst results turned out to be a healthy, distinguished medical researcher.

Apokalupto: The sense of right and wrong comes from a moral conscience, not intuition. Intuition has no judging process, it is a perceiving process.

Zanjan: Show us how a moral conscience doesn't perceive.

It bears repeating that Intuition is the ability to immediately understand something without the need for conscious reasoning. It's more of an instinctive feeling yet one that makes sense. We don't know how it works but is lightening fast.

Moms well-know where the saying came from "Out of the mouths of babes" - that's intuition.

In my work with deeply mentally challenged individuals, I've seen them say things that are positively brilliant. It's as if the heavens open up; through the clouds, a great light beams down with angels singing; then the opening quickly closes up again, leaving you shocked.

We can't define it; sometimes it seems to be random but I'll credit that to intuition. It's not about morality - the thing is, it's wisdom, sometimes very funny and always dead on.

Apokalupto: Intuition has nothing to do with morality. It is the perception of unconscious content, pure and simple.

Zanjan: Possibly some intuition stems from a subconscious memory but there's nothing to indicate all of it is. You can't locate it.

Apokalupto: Intuition does not come from memory, it's unconscious, it's unknown content when it arises to meet the conscious occasion, we don't call that memory, we call it intuition. Memory or what stems from memory is a different cognitive acquisition. If we "remember" something but don't know that we are remembering it we might call that a problem.

edwardkaras: hello, my name is edward,it's best for one to truly understand, that any unconscious process, even in eventuality, if even partially understood, that is memory.the person thinking or calling that intuition,is a person watching, their own ego, or what i would rather call personship. words like precognition, clairvoyance, the process and their actions do exist.this has very little to do with religion, but some religious persons may have that ability.the word unconscious, with it's preconceived notions, from freud, and persons like jung, are still valid, but one needs firstly to understand the faculties of the brain and all of the pressers on it's instrumentation.there must be an understanding,of what is insight, and what is outsight to insight, which makes insight something else.the faculty of the brain and it's facility,in everyday ordinary thinking and remembering, and also the higher faculty and facility of the brain.this higher faculty,is used in most persons very little.as a person ages in many cases, and the ordinary actions of the brain, become more difficult, and the brain relies on the higher functions and many times then will loose this facility.in certain persons the facility of the higher order due in some cases, because of the weakening of the sensor band, that is there to keep the unconscious out for the simple reason that a person may suffer from mental therefore physical, problems.because the word mental problems, and physical problems and the dualism involved are really just semantics,it's all physical. in order for a person to truly have intuition, and i really don't to like to use this word.the persons brain must be at the level of insight.this level is then poised and ready for outsight to affect insight, and the there is something else.that something else is what a person would call intuition.that intuition is not theirs,it comes from others, those others may be good or bad.this last statement should be understood with complete, and clear understanding.

smilingkiss: intuition is not even a memory its your gut feeling from the situation or the look of a person kind or mean .........or a thing that one knows or considers likely from instinctive feeling rather than conscious reasoning.

"Self-knowledge or intuition (English: intuition ) is a phenomenon of the mind. is the ability to acquire knowledge without relying on inference or rational thinking" this is final because its already scientific explanation.

edwardkaras: firstly you need to understand, what you are calling the mind, sometimes a real knowing person, has to sometimes use a different lexicon,to show another, that when you truly see what the mind is,not just its physicality, but how it's affected by outside forces. i don't know you of course, but if you would possibly understand the words of the mind of kant. he would tell you when a person uses a set of words or like you just stated,in you repeated definition before, that a word or series of words when used or stated, will lead the witness.this means they will give another a direction to follow, and many times you cannot get to the real truth in that fashion.

edwardkaras: you are relying on a broad definition of something that science, is arriving at through assumption.you need to understand what truth is first.and the difference between actuality and reality.and if you think that the human mind is rational, turn on the news.there is universal truth, and that is truth that can't be dispelled with time. let me give you an example.everyday in hospitals they do heart operations, many years ago maybe a hundred years the doctors taught do not touch the heart, because the person will die.that was the truth then, not anymore. a universal truth may have been seen by another mind, maybe the same mind through intuition.that intuition said they will be able to do that in the future.many years ago men tried to fly they could not now the have jet engines going 600 miles an hour.as far as knowing oneself, one must first be able to see your own suffering and sadness when you have that in someone else.

edwardkaras: hello, ''smilingkiss'',since you may need to know much more about certain things, and i wouldn't want your mind to go off in the clouds.i don't know if you may be too young to have your mind look at topics that may have expansion, that you really in your life can't afford to have.it may be best that you look at things the way you do.i think this would be a better idea.for a good example, lets just say for the sake of discussion that you go to college, and you have to possible work and go to school, you may not need right now in your life to discuss a topic, that is a little more encompassing.because there are answers, that have to do with how much knowledge one has of the physical, also spiritual realms.its best that we limit our talk until i know. if we continue this conversation which we may or may not end up doing. and i possible understand you better, then maybe i would talk a little wider,on this subject.
