Abortion -Fathers' view (Page 2) Zanjan: Deciding to get pregnant is a decision that should be left to the woman. Once the decision is made, she should take ownership of it and carry that through to the end of the 9 months - this is not something you can just curl up your tail and back out of with impunity. If the woman changes her mind and no longer wants the responsibility of raising a child, she can put it up for adoption. I'm happy to hear you followed through with your decision, Emasculador, because you cant really count on the man to do it; although he has a duty, so many guys run off because its easy when they're not married. I've not seen many step up to the plate after the child is born. We all make mistakes but we should do everything possible to recover from them without damage to others. (Edited by Zanjan) pinkphenomenon: I believe that although it's a very personal choice, its an extreme one. If the male wanted the baby and the mother didn't, well he would have to prove a very strong case in order for her to carry and hand it over to him with full reigns. I am in a situation where I want my baby more than anything and have stepped up a tremendous amount in order to give it the life it deserves. He, however, after claiming he wanted to be part of it all from the get go may aswell have fled to timbuktu. But then he flits back and forward, confusing me, hurting me, as if to stick two fingers up and say 'I can do this all the way through this little ones life' So to me, when it comes to a man's choice with termination, fostering, being a dad... A case is needed, trust, validation, support. Support I feel is the most important. I also feel the guy should be involved in the decision making they just need to fight to be heard or plead a case to prove their worth. I find it sad how some dads are doing tremendously as parents but aren't getting recognition because of the low life selfish ones. Credit is where credit is due. Comrade_: Yes, I can agree to this. From yours and Emasculador's experience, I gather that it will be a case by case scenario and depend heavily on the character of the father. Lumpenproletariat: Any woman who becomes impregnated with my offspring beyond the 'morning after pill' time frame. Will need to inform me and we'll see from there. Lumpenproletariat: Dead serious, man. Have to stand up for the hard work of the sperms. We are a team and if one soldier makes it to the promise land and breaks through the barrier, who am I to throw away his swimming efforts? Who am I to say that he should die in vain. It's my duty to intervene and have a word with the woman. Lumpenproletariat: No, not daily but when I do, I end it off with a little prayer for the lost souls. All joking aside, Why you'd not want to have a say too? It's housed in the woman's body, yes, but you don't feel a need to have an input on the matter, man? This is your genes, possibly your future kid. You'd have nothing to say still? The Laughing Mexican: i grew up with my mom alone taking care of us words are words. this world is to messed up for one more kid Lumpenproletariat: Ah, I see. I meant all this on a personal level than general. I agree that the world is messed up but it has its interesting sides for a short span. Winter0fDiscontent: I wonder where the original poster is. He deleted his profile and never considered those who miss him Lumpenproletariat: You miss him, Winter? What inner secrets would you tell him if you had any last words? Winter0fDiscontent: What kind of question is that, beyond the fact that is built from a silly contradiction? (If I had a secret worth keeing till the very last minute before death I wouldn't, by logic, post it here.) Lumpenproletariat: If you have a secret worth keeping till the very last minute and after death, you should let it out and out of your system. Helps with the grief and preferable some praise on the decease... Winter0fDiscontent: Sorry to dissapoint you but the use of the conditional is not fortuitous. I actually have no secrets at all. LiptonCambell: >>>Dead serious, man. Have to stand up for the hard work of the sperms. We are a team and if one soldier makes it to the promise land and breaks through the barrier, Evelyn99: I decide over my body. Period. But when that is said there are responsibilities that comes with that and good decisions are fundamentally. It’s far more children getting killed every single hour than all abortions around the world in a year. Many of them from bombs coming from us and several other governments (Post deleted by LovinU19 ) | Philosophy Chat Room 19 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
