For those people the direct distance from A-to-B in whatever manner it needs to be, is all they care about. Having the comfort and assurance of whatever end aesthetic serves them is their sweet spot.

The rhetorical congruence to an abstract state of status, for the sake of that status, per se, is inconsequential. This is so particularly to those for whom the medium in which they exist has an ambiguity and flexibility of choices that can be done for which impunity of consequences goes to the better facilitator of those ends.

You, by your training and rhetorical indoctrination may find that as very crass to anarchic or worse. To those of that ilk, particularly Trump, if you can't do anything about it, 'WHO CARES ABOUT YOUR SENTIMENT?'.

As the saying goes 'Hate the game more than its instrument, the player'.
